Hey all, and welcome to the St. Patrick's Day edition of our Links Round Up!

The LRU is a compilation of items from the past week that may be of interest to VPers and is intended to broaden the kinds of conversations we have here.

To submit articles for next week's round-up, e-mail frolicnaked@vaginapagina.com. If you have additional articles you'd like folks to know about this week, feel free to comment directly to this post.

As a reminder, in lieu of trigger warnings, I use keywords describing the themes of the piece. Please skim these before deciding to read the excerpt or click through for the full article. Outside sources are not safe spaces, and mainstream source's comments should almost always be avoided. The links I highlight don't necessarily reflect VP's views, or even my own, for that matter.

And for those new to VP's parts, a few of our resources: [livejournal.com profile] vp_bulletins for local announcements; [livejournal.com profile] contact_vp for questions and feedback on the way VP is run; the Vulvapedia for basic questions; and don't forget about our sibling community over on Dreamwidth!

This week's round-up includes: arrested for carrying condoms, what foster parents wish other people knew, benefit of quick HIV treatment, belief in false rape allegations, and analyzing period trackers.

Thoughts on any of these stories? Also, what have you been reading (or writing!) this week?

Hiya Everyone,
I'm posting to ask the community for their experiences on Seasonique. A little about me, I was recently diagnosised with PMDD and my Doc and I have decided to give Seasonique a try. I have not been on BC for 4yrs and my cycles run like a German train station, every 28 days on the DOT. This BC will be the first time I stop having a cycle (this does not worry me).

Here's my concern: My periods involve extreme anxiety and moodiness along with intense sciatic nerve/back pain. I'm concerned that when I get to the the 3rd month my period with come around with vengeance. Will my periods on Sesonique(Amethia) be worse than usual?

Thanks

My boyfriend and I have been slowly trying to work toward fisting for months, and just can't get past the knuckles. No matter how we try, there's just no way to get them in. It feels like there are two issues: the bones around my vulva are too close together, creating a sort of solid barrier to entry, and the vaginal opening is too small, and feels very stretched with four fingers.

I don't think we are ever going to manage it. That's ok, he has a bit of a thing about it but we have a great sex life anyway and there are lots of other things we can do. But recently we've been talking about the possibility of having children in the future, and I'm worried that I'll tear really badly! I know that your ligaments and bones shift to open up your pelvis for the baby to come through, but what happens to the skin around the opening? If it's super small now how will a baby's head get through?

Okay, So I went to the doctor on Wednesday and got on Generess Fe. I had to take two of the pills until Saturday to catch up and of course today, I look on the instructions and realize that it said to chew and swallow without water. I've just been swallowing it with a drink.
Now I'm worried even though I knew this month wouldn't keep me protected anyway.

I just was wondering if you guys know anything more that could help me or should I call my physician about it?

Im wondering what the shelf life of HBC pills are? Sprintec if brand matters?

Im considering switching to condoms and spermicide at the end of this pack as HBC just makes me feel like crap and retain weight, plus at this point we are considering TTC and a "surprise" would not be unwelcome.

I have 4 packs left in my pantry and am wondering how long they will be stable for, or if there are any programs I can donate them to?

Thanks!
