...but the idea of sticking my finger in my vagina/inserting it gives me much anxiety and causes me to tense up. I am sexually active and use tampons regularly but i am nervous about this. Lately tampons/pads have been driving me absolutely nuts...i can't seem to feel comfortable at all down there lately.

Has anyone had a similar experience? And what menstrual cup would you recommend for a first time, very small built user?

I've been bleeding pretty heavily for about three weeks now - something that's happened to me before, so I've been just trying to deal with it. It's started to affect me pretty badly, though, so I was planning to see a doctor on Monday.

Last night something that definitely was not a clot fell into my pad. It was semi-solid and seemed fleshy, which is... concerning. And it smells like something crawled up my vagina and died, a kind of rotten garbage smell. I've also had awful cramps when they're usually very mild to nonexistent.

I noticed the smell right after a shower (so I was squeaky-clean, and it wasn't coming from my clothes or my pad), and I checked to make sure I didn't leave a tampon or anything inside.

At this point I'm worried that there might be something in my uterus that really shouldn't be there, but how likely is that? There's absolutely no chance that I am or was pregnant unless sperm can hang around for eight years, which wasn't possible last time I looked.

Does this sound like something that really needs looked at before Monday? Last time I went to the ER for the bleeding (not this cycle, but a few months back) I was told there was nothing they could do, but the fleshy thing really freaked me out.

I feel like there is something in there trying to come out. The feeling is like a tampon not inserted far enough in or inserted wrong. It also itches and there is a slight discharge that isn't clumpy or smelly. I am or just got through ovulating and sometimes I have a thin discharge from that. And last thing, I just got through taking some antibiotics. Do you think this may be the onset of a yeast infection? I haven't had one in so long that if it isn't cottage cheese lookin and itchin like crazy I wouldn't know what it was, lol.

I hate to post a "am I pregnant" post, but I was really curious about something and found mixed info online. So, last month I kind of screwed up. I missed a pill two weeks into my pack. I realized this the following day and took 2 pills. Five days later, we had sex. However, my period came a week after we had sex on its normal day. It was a little lighter than usual, but still a period. I'm almost through this months pack, and I've had the sorest boobs for the past two weeks. So annoying. I've also gained 10 lbs out of nowhere! I've been 130 for years and suddenly I am 140?! I am also peeing a lot. I think last night I got up like 8 times to pee. Other than that, I have not felt sick or had any cramps at all. Can weight can cause your boobs to hurt? Has anyone ever had their first period while pregnant? Pretty sure I am not pregnant, but I am curious if anyone has been through anything similar.

Thanks!!

I asked this over in [livejournal.com profile] fam but I've only gotten response, and that was "wait until your period comes and then try to figure out what was going on," which I can do, but I'm sort of really curious to understand what might be happening now.

I know not all vagpaggers are familiar with FAM, but for those of you that are, do you think you could lend a hand? My chart this month looks like a mountain range. I thought at first I was having a slow rise after ovulating this month (which has literally never happened to me in the history of my charting), but this morning my temperature was a little lower than my previous spike upwards from two days ago (and I don't know if that can happen during a slow rise in temperature -- the internet is actually very useless on getting me information for this, and I don't have access to a copy of TCOYF at the moment).

Here's a link to my chart.

I know that having been tracking my CM and cervix would be helpful to me now, but usually I have a very clear and dramatic thermal shift and have no trouble telling when I've ovulated, and since I'm only using it to avoid, I just wait five days after ovulation to put myself in the clear when it comes to condomless sex. So yeah. Sorry all there is are my temperatures to go by.

I have a few theories myself of what could be happening, and I'm just wondering if any of them are more likely than the others, or if there's something else I haven't thought of:

1. I'm having a very delayed ovulation this month.
2. I have already ovulated and my temperature is just rising very slowly.
3. My temperatures are weird because I was sick a month ago and have a lingering cough that may possibly be interfering with my sleep/I may be getting sick again.
4. HBC has ruined my ovaries forever and they just do whatever the heck they want.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help. :)

It's me again with another quick and probably stupid question.

So I had my first ever annual gyno exam today. I've been once before for a pretty gnarly yeast infection, but never for the annual where they do the pap smear, etc. Basically my question is can your hymen break from the insertion and opening of the speculum? (I'm a virgin btw) I've had one used on me a few months ago when i went for that yeast infection, but it didnt hurt nearly a much as today. And when I saw after it had a decent amount of blood on it. I've head spotting can happen from a pap smear, but that didn't hurt at all. I didn't even feel that. But my vagina felt like it was being stretched a foot wide. Obviously it wasn't but it rly hurt. ;-; . And i don't think a pap could produce the amount of blood that I saw. The NP didn't say or mention anything about it so maybe it's just common? idk anything about these things.

Also, I'm kind of prone to yeast infections. This exam proved yet again I have a yeast infection and I was prescribed diflucan. (srsly i should take it like a daily vitamin at this point. lol jk...)

What can I do to prevent yeast infections? Are there certain foods I should eat to promote a healthy bacterial growth? Anything I should take? idk they are just getting annoying and I really don't wanna have to put creams and shit up there. :/

Thanks in advance.

edit.

just wanted to add that i told the nurse who took my blood pressure that i was a virgin, but i didnt mention it to the actual NP who examined me cuz i thought it was like on record or something. but the first time i went a few months ago, I also told the NP i was a virgin. idk if this makes a difference in the size of the speculum they use or w/e.

thanks
