I know we're not supposed to douche regularly so I'm trying to avoid it. But my partner ejaculated inside me enough gooey liquid to drown a small elephant last night, and despite pushing as much out as I could and scooping it with my fingers, it's still coming out of me today and the feeling is freaking me out. My anxiety/OCD is kicking in and I'm afraid I'm going to end up obsessing over it enough to do something in a panic, so I'm trying to head that off with some healthier options.

Would it be OK to put my sea sponge tampon in for a while to soak it all up? Is there a douche recipe that's safe enough to use when there isn't any infection process going on?

Please help, I'm trying to calm my poor brain down, but when I sit quietly and do breathing exercises I can feel it dripping and ugh.

ETA: I tried the sea sponge tampon thing and ironically there isn't enough lubrication to get it all the way in my vagina because I'd just cleaned the OUTSIDE area, but I got a decent amount of stuff out just by putting it halfway in a few times. So definitely in the future I'll try just putting in a tampon if the feeling is really bugging me, and hopefully that should do it.

Thanks Superstars!

For as long as I can remember, anytime I've been really active, like walking around work all day, I've had pain with urination.

That's usually the first symptom I have when I get a YI. In July, I noticed my urethral opening was red and irritated so I went to the doctor. Mine wasn't at the office so I saw another one in the same practice. He was preoccupied with looking for sores caused by HSV and didn't bother checking for yeast. He did a culture on a particularly painful area, took a culture to test for HSV which ended up being negative. After hearing that I called my doctor and she prescribed me Diflucan and that helped me out a ton.

A couple of weeks ago I had pain with urination again not caused by constant walking. I took AZO and drank a bunch of water in case it was a UTI, also treating it with a one day OTC YI medication and within a day and a half, everything felt find again.

I just went to the restroom and had pain again. I've been off of work for 2 1/2 hours and it's usually better by now and my urethral opening looks red and irritated. Could this possibly be from a YI that hasn't gone away completely? My discharge looks white but not chunky. I don't wear tight pants, have used dye/fragrance free laundry soap and dryer sheets, and have been taking acidophilus.

Now that I think about it, I haven't used dryer sheets at all very much lately and it's probably been a couple of weeks since I have until yesterday, when the underwear I put on both today and yesterday came from that load. It's a different brand than the detergent, is it also possible that even though it's dye and fragrance free, that something in them is causing my symptoms?

ETA: Just went again (water water water!) and it didn't seem as bad but I'm still wondering if the connection could be there

I am 23 years old and have never had sex or even been able to insert a tampon. I went to 3 different gynecologists (insurance issues) who all diagnosed me with a thick microperforate hymen, so about two weeks ago I had a hymenotomy under general anesthesia. Before surgery, my gyno (who has been pretty awesome) told me that she would be inserting two fingers after stitching me up to make sure that she had sufficiently expanded my hymen. I had my post surgery check up with my doctor two days ago, but had not yet started my period. I looked forward to using tampons and engaging in vaginal sex with my boyfriend. Yesterday, my period started, and i tried to insert a tampon. I am using light Tampax pearl with KY jelly on the tip. I have tried different positions (sitting, squatting, standing with a leg up, and lying down). I just can't seem to get it inside me. One of the Dr.s also diagnosed me with vaginismus from years of having a learned pain response. I assumed that this problem would stop after the surgery since I know that I am large enough.
Has anyone else had this problem?
What do you recommend as treatment?
