Hi everyone.
Even though I no longer have a Paragard, I still occasionally check out my cervix.
Tonight I felt what felt like a soft blister on it.
My history: 3 failed Paragards - most recent one being January.  Negative on all STDs as of June.  I've gotten all 3 Gardasil shots.  Currently using my diaphragm for sexual activity - though it's been over a month and I have no sexual partners on the horizon.
I'm calling my Planned Parenthood in the AM for an appointment to see what's up.
Could it just be a Nabothian cyst?  It's not painful or tender to the touch.  It's just sort of...there.
Has anyone had this?

Hi there,

Little background: about two years ago I had a pap smear that came back abnormal because of the presence of HPV. Gyno told me to get another pap after 6 mos, which was still abnormal, then, after a year, it was normal again, which meant I could resume coming for paps on a yearly basis. Just last week, then, I had my yearly pap smear, and, uh-oh. Got a call from the nurse practitioner today with the test results telling me it was abnormal again, and that the level of abnormality was LGSIL, which apparently stands for "Low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion." The internet is telling me that this is cervical dysplasia and, "is the most common classification of cervical dysplasia, and in most cases, clears up on its own within two years." The nurse practitioner who did the pap last week wants me to go and see the gynecologist next week for a cystoscopy.

In short, I am terrified. I am a hypochrondiac (like, clinically diagnosed, not just someone who worries a lot about health) and so this has sent me into a tailspin of worries about cancer and dying young (I will be 32 in October) and having to have a hysterectomy, etc., etc., etc. Can someone please please please talk me down a little? I'm so scared, and my aunt has had a long history with cervical cancer and finally had a full hysterectomy a few years ago. Now I am picturing myself following her down that same path.

Also, could anything else cause an abnormal reading of LGSIL? I have a copper IUD - could that have done it? I realize this is a stretch, but I am trying to calm myself down here.

Thank you all so much for any help you can give me.

Hi guys,
I'm currently on Loestrin 24 Fe, I'm about to start my new pill pack tomorrow, and I want to change my time from 9am to 7am.
I was wondering if changing the time starting tomorrow, will leave me at risk for pregnancy? I plan on visiting my boyfriend on Wednesday, and we plan on having unprotected sex. We've both been tested and are STD-free, but I'm worried that changing my b.c. time will leave me vulnerable for a possible pregnancy.
Should I wait until after I see him to switch my time? It's not much of a time difference, but I need to wake up earlier, and am already busy by 9am, so 7am would just be easier.
Thoughts? Advice?

Thanks so much in advance!

Hewwo everyone. There might be some TMIs here but I don't know how to use a cut when I'm posting from my phone. :/
I posted about a week ago about what I thought was a yeast infection. I went to the dr and got it all cleared up.
Well, last night I had sex for the first time in 2 weeks. I woke up this morning and had horrible itching, pain, and swelling around my vaginal entrance. I had these little patches of irritated skin that I thought were from the yeast infection, but this morning the existing ones were worse and more had appeared.
Herpes was the first thing to come to my mind, but I really don't have blisters. It looks like the skin got rubbed off somehow. I don't have any odd discharge or smells either.
I've never been allergic to anything, but could this be an allergic reaction of some sort? We didn't use lube last night, but I did use my Trojan Triphoria vibrator. I can't think of anything else it could be.
Also, is there anything I can put right on my vaginal entrance to help with the itching and pain? I use Calmoseptine in the other places, but it has glycerin in it.
Thanx in advance for the help!

I have always had heavy periods and slowly over the years (I’m 35) they have worsened; to the point where 10-day periods with large clots (I’m talking fist-sized if not larger on occasion) seemed the norm for me.

In March this year I bled so heavily that I ended up having a blood transfusion and was referred to a specialist who, after unpleasant procedures including a biopsy from my womb, conduced I had Adenomyosis. I was advised that the Mirena coil would be an effective way to treat this condition so I went ahead with this. The experience of having it inserted was awful for me (I fainted!) and then I suffered painful cramps and weird stabbing pains more or less continuously for the duration it was in. My stomach bloated up like a beach ball and I just felt generally unwell and tired. After four weeks of this the coil spontaneously expelled itself (I knew my body didn’t like it!) and I lost a lot of blood and, again, had a fainting episode and scared the life out of my poor husband.

Anyway, obviously the coil isn’t suitable for me and I am now advised that the next step would be something called ablation where the lining of the womb is basically destroyed. I am quite anxious about this procedure and while I don’t want more kids (it’s apparently dangerous to get pregnant after the procedure as it renders the womb too fragile) I am worried that it will be painful and then after it may not work anyway. The next, final, step following ablation would be a hysterectomy which fills me with fear too.

I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else has been through this, or similar, and if ablation is really that bad?
Thanks so much x

Underwear are vagina-related, right?
Question + Picture )

In case I am completely out of luck, what do you folks with a large butt-to-waistband-size ratio do?  Most underwear that fits my waist is too small for my buttcheeks and not in a purposeful, comfortable way, leaving me with just the thong or long boyshort styles (the only styles I don't prefer).  Shopping tips?  Experience?

I'm on low hormonal birth control pills due to a family blood clotting disorder. My doctor doesn't really want me on them, but other methods are too risky and I'm sexually active with my boyfriend and we do not want an unplanned pregnancy.

Recently, Lo-Ovral was recalled, so my doctor called in Mircette, which seemed like it was from the same company (packaging wise). I had a hint of spotting and then no period for a month. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative, just to be sure. Now this month, I received another switch to Azurette. I'm guessing another recall happened. I'm close to being due for a period, but wonder if I am going to miss yet another month.

Has anyone ever gone through this? Other than these switches and one reaction I had to Fiorcet (which led to heavy non menstrual bleeding), I have very normal monthly periods. Am I safe to still be having sex, since I never stopped taking a pill for any amount of time? All input welcome!

It wouldn't let me tag this post.
