Switching HBC - is my OBGYN listening to me?

I have been on Generess FE for the past year and it has been a blissful HBC experience. The first time I took a HBC pill it was Loestrin Fe and I did not respond well to it then at all (maybe like 4 years ago) & had almost given up on them. But due to being polycystic, I was told I should really get on that birth control wagon - so I did. But Generess FE has gotten too expensive for me now and I asked my OBGYN if she could recommend a generic one/similar one.... so she gave me Previfem, which, if I understand correctly, is liek Ortho Try-Cyclen (the pharmacy gave me tri-sprintec). I called in again to make sure that they gave me something similar and the nurse reassured me that YES they are very similar. I just don't buy it & speaking with a friend of mine who is doing residency right now makes me really question OBGYN! So instead of starting Tri-Sprintec today, I plan on calling my OBGYN tomorrow again and asking for a different prescription, definitely one with 4 inactive pills. I was hoping that maybe some of you ladies (or men, if there are any) could suggest something similar to Generess FE ( Norethindrone 0.8mg, ethinyl estradiol 25mcg) for me to mention t me OBGYN ... I just feel like I have to be more specific with her, maybe even clearer than just saying "something very similar to Generess Fe please".

Pain Before Orgasm?

I feel so embarrassed asking this but it's getting kind of annoying.
I've only ever been able to orgasm via clitoral stimulation (either through oral or masturbation), but lately, as in the last few months, I've had this weird twinging pain right before I orgasm. It's always on the left side and also sort of on top of my inner labia and near my clit. I seems to affect my orgasms making them not of 'good' and the painful twinge stays with me for a few moments after I finish.

Any help but be much appreciated,.

Bleeding with the Nexplanon

Hello, all!

I was on Cerazette from February 2011 to June 2011, when I had the Nexplanon implanted.

While using the Nexplanon, I've experienced some spotting every 4 months or so. Nothing that warrants any use of my cup and no cramps while spotting.

A little over a week ago I started cramping. Then I spotted (mostly colored goo). I put in my cup.

On Friday when I emptied the cup, it was half-full with blood. I empty it once every day and each time it's half-full. I also cramp quite a bit.

I read somewhere, sometime, someplace that Cerazette can stop the bleeding when you use Implanon/Nexplanon or an IUD? Am I correct?

I'd really appreciate some feedback on this!

Depo Shot Question

Hey there.

I've got a question about the Depo shot. I have so far only got ONE shot. I am due for my second shot on September 6th.

I am on Depo for endometriosis and to stop periods and bleeding (not for birth control, though of course that's an added benefit). Anyway, I went almost two months without a period/bleeding. But, now, today is like the 6th day that I've had a "period." It's not a real period as I know I didn't ovulate, but I am really not happy about bleeding because it's going to cause my endo cyst to grow larger and that is what we are trying to curb happening. Whenever I bleed or have a period, that is what seems to cause my cysts to grow, so we are trying to stop my periods for a while to see if the cyst will shrink/disappear.

I am wondering if maybe I am bleeding now because the progestin dropped off? Maybe I need another shot before the three months? Has anyone ever experienced this? Maybe it's just because it was my first shot and the progestin is still relatively low in my body? Has anyone else had to get their shot more than once every three months, or has anyone had bleeding this early before their next shot was due?

Any experience with this kind of thing happening on Depo?

blood clot insde outer labia ! plss help !

i'm 32yrs old,sexually active female..y'day eve wen i was down there for hygene purposes i felt like a small bump under skin, thought it was just a pore but today i notice 2 red blood clot luking things inside my outer labia( beside inner labia)..not ingrowns as its not the hairy part..they dont luk like bumps.i tried to rub with tp & little red  blood came out .i think i popped one but one is still there..its the size of poppy seed.it doesn't hurt but little itchy at times( may b b/coz i was examining it with qtip) i'm not sexually active since a month..i'm freaking out big time ! can't get to a doc now as i'm away on holiday ! is this sum kind of std ? it doesn't have a head or pus or anything ! best way to describe is it luks like blood clot ! it is red/brown in color! pls help me !

thanks 4r the input..it luks like a blood clot  ..i dont think its herpes b.coz it doesn't have any fluid or pus, like a pimple..i just put little pressure on it with tp & i think it popped..had a tiny dot of blood..my husband is/was my only sexual partner & i'm his only partner ! he got his hsv2 negative recently but is hsv1 positive !

I have learned a lot from VP over the years, and it has literally influenced and changed who I am and how I see things. I know that VP has done that for others, too. Thinking about that is really amazing to me! From that perspective comes this question: With the knowledge you have now (maybe from VP, though it totally doesn't have to be!) is there anything you wish you could go back and tell your younger self? It could be about the actual growing up process or something your younger self was going through, but it could also be about anything body-related, anything relating to your sexuality, gender identity, experiences as they relate to VP-type stuff...even a perspective change you wish you knew you would have.
