It's MMMMonday, when we bring you special maintainer-curated content to enrich your VP experience! You can find this and other MMMMonday posts in the future by checking out the "featured-posts" and "mmmmonday" tags.

Lisa Belkin at Huffington Post raises the question: how to balance the message that gender is not what defines you with another common message given to young girls in an effort to empower them - that being a girl is awesome and "girls rock" and so on? "Girl power" versus freedom from a binary gender system fraught with stereotypes and gender-based expectations, in a nutshell. (It is definitely worth reading the piece for a better idea of the issues raised, but I'm paraphrasing. :))

What do you think about that? Do you think the two messages/aims are contradictory? What do you think of these two messages individually? If you think both are valuable, how do you think they can be balanced? I've seen a lot of discussion going on regarding this piece and I wondered what VPers would say!

Hey folks. I posted here last week about the vaginal suppository I've been prescribed for a case of BV. I'm halfway through the course of medicine and have another question.

The suppository is called Flagystatin. It's supposed to kill off the bad bacteria, I guess. Do I need to take probiotics, eat plain yogurt, etc. in conjunction with this drug, for optimum vaginal health? And if so, when should I start that - ASAP, or after the medicine is done?

Thanks, y'all!

Well I'm pretty sure a lot of you know me by now (I've come here from pregnancy scares to weakness due to IUD bleeding). Now I come with my current issue, breast growth / swelling.
