I'm currently single and just got out of a relationship where the guy and I didn't do anything but make out and I performed oral on him (so, no sex). I usually get tested after every partner, and tested negative for HIV a few months ago before we started dating. I just found out he's been with a lot of people so I am a little concerned because I don't know what his status is.

I think I'll go get tested tomorrow, but what's the likeliness of this?

Maybe I'm being crazy paranoid. I can't remember there being any occasion where we shared blood/anything like that at all.

I'm on a triphasic pull and I am usually really good about taking my pill on time. Sometimes I will take my pill 4-5 hours late, but I am generally on time with my pills and never miss one.

I recently was with this guy I've sort of been seeing and we had sex but he didn't ejaculate inside me. I stack my packs together and went 1-2-3 1-2-3 (meaning a drop from the 3rd week to the 1st). Usually I will get my period 4 days into a placebo week. I know I'm still taking active pills, but I literally had cramping and only really minor spotting this month. Now I'm worried I've somehow gotten pregnant and can't remember if I missed a pill (but I would venture to say I didn't).

Is missing a period normal on this pill? I had a random period last month mid-pack and now I'm really confused. I dont like this pill and I am going to try to switch, but I don't know if I have anything to be worried about right now.

Thanks!

Hi superstars,
I shaved the whole lot down there about 5 days ago. I have a small cut on my perineum that I can see with a mirror that was caused from shaving (I only noticed it after sex on day 2 after I shaved, it hurt a little bit during sex but after it was fine). And also a couple of small round bumps on the edges of the lips... All of these little nicks hurt like heck whilst peeing since day 4 after shaving! It almost brings tears to my eyes. Even putting the shower head water directly at it stings, walking/sitting hurts aswell as wiping. I have tried cortisone cream on it and that relieved the stinging the first couple of times I applied it. Now, day 5, my clitoris feels VERY sensitive and I can feel a sort of throbbing feeling every now and again, and it feels as though I may actually have a UTI aswell because that also hurts when I pee. The bumps on the lips I think are just from shaving (I had a check up down there only a week ago and everything was perfecto) so... Can you guys pleeease help me? I am feeling very uncomfortable and sore >.< I think I'll stick to waxing from now on!
Thanks heaps!

I've been curious about this and don't know who I can ask since not everyone is as open about stuff like this as I am.

I'm curious whether those who do not breastfeed after having a baby end up with the same changes in their breasts as those who do. I'm talking about them feeling super empty and being more floppy than they were before, as well as some sagging (I know that varies between people and can happen without breastfeeding as well). I guess I'm curious if it's the changes that happen during pregnancy and the initial engorgement before the milk goes away that causes them, or if it's the constant filling and emptying of breastfeeding that does. If it's the former, and your milk never comes in, are they the same as they were before being pregnant?

(this is not intended to be a discussion on the merits of either method of feeding, I'm just curious on a purely physical standpoint)

Orgasms

Hello everyone, I have a question related to orgasms.

Basically, I'm one of those women who's clit is so insanely sensitive that it hurts when people mess with it. Sometimes it doesn't, but more often than not, it just hurts - even when I touch it. The only way I've ever been able to have a clitoral orgasm is by applying pressure with my thighs. It's made me feel self conscious during sex, because a partner has never been able to bring me to a clitoral orgasm.

Added to that, I only tend to have vaginal orgasms during sex - which isn't really a problem - what "is" is that I am a "squirter" and some people tend to have a problem with that(the usual BS about it being piss, etc).

All of this combined makes me feel incredibly self conscious during sex, and makes me apprehensive to do it at all. So for others who have very sensitive clits, what do you do about it? Stimulation around it feels good, and sometimes touching it is okay, but in general, it's better not to mess with it. Have you ever been able to bring yourself to a clitoral orgasm during sex if pressure seems to be the only thing that works? For me, clitoral orgasms are far more intense and pleasurable than vaginal ones, though they both feel great.

Basically, I'd like to eventually have a clitoral orgasm during sex, but none of the women I know have a clit as painfully sensitive as mine, so I have no one in person to talk about it with.

I'm not sure if it matters, but I've had sex with men and women, and neither gender have been able to help me get to that point during sex.

And slightly off topic but, what is the difference between a "squirting" and female ejaculate?

Hey, VPers!

I was hoping you could help me figure out if there is a progestin-only birth control PILL stronger than Micronor (AKA Camila) in the U.S. I know there is the shot and the implant and the IUD, but is there an actual progestin-only pill that's stronger? I have endometriosis and am taking BC to help control it as well as the endometriomas (endo cysts).

I know that in Europe, Cerazette is supposed to be stronger and stops 90% of women from ovulating, while Micronor only stops around 50% of women from ovulating, but I don't thikn they offer that in the U.S. for some odd reason. :-\

Micronor has not stopped me from ovulating, which is annoying, especially when it seems to do the opposite and speed up my ovulation and I ovulate quicker than I did when not on any type of BC. I don't want combined BC and that's just my preference, so please don't ask me why or tell me to take combined BC. I mean, if I HAD to do combined and it was my only option, I would, but that is the very last thing I want to do.

Thanks for any help/info you can give! :-)

Some background, I was in a relationship with a man back in 2010-11. We were both screened for stis, including HIV 6 months after our last sexual encounters. We broke up for a weekend and got back together. He promised that he hadn't slept with anyone else so we continued to both not use condoms. We broke up and I discovered that he had actually slept with a friend of ours when we were split up for a weekend multiple times. He swore that he used protection during vaginal sex with her. About 4 months after his encounter, we both were screened and showed up negative for HIV and everything else except chlamydia and were both treated for that.
I know that is is VERY unlikely that we both would show up negative for HIV antibodies 4 months after, but I am now getting my annual HIV test and my results still won't be known to me for a week. I think I am just upset because it is around the time when we broke up last year and all the hurt from the betrayal (as well as the fact that he was abusive) is weighing down on me and I am so plagued with anxiety that I can barely function. The lady who conducted my test just made me feel awful by saying that I was "emotionally vulnerable" to HIV (though I ALWAYS use protection and don't use drugs and know my partners) for being a survivor of abuse and implied that it was my fault for catching chlamydia due to being involved in an abusive relationship.
Also, I have had no signs of HIV. I guess I was just hoping that someone could grant me some wisdom through this trial.

Hi VP! It's MMMMonday, the day when we bring you something special for your reading pleasure - guest posts, giveaways, polls, discussions, and other maintainer-curated content. MMMMonday posts will be linked in the "Featured Posts" section on the community's LJ page (though note, there is a kink in the works right now and updates may be a bit delayed).

Your faithful MMMMonday post maintainer would like to apologize for the lateness of the hour, I usually post around mid-day but this Monday flew by around here. ;)

Without further ado: we're wondering - what VP-relevant books are you reading? If you're not reading anything relevant at the moment, tell us what the most recent selection was, or perhaps what your favorites are. Discuss! We are hoping to generate not only discussion here, but also perhaps a resource list. Fiction and non-fiction are all welcome, and anything resembling a topic that you might find in VP or our social media outlets. Go!

I'll start in the comments. :)

Hey there fellow VPers,

These past few days, I've been wondering if I have a yeast infection. The thing is, my symptoms are... unusual. Let me explain: my inner labia is swollen and slightly red, and it itches at times (but not always). The first few days I had a little bit of liquidy discharge slightly yellow in colour. Today, the discharge has gotten more important and is a bit less liquid (mind you, the texture might be related to my cycle and not to the problem) but still quite yellow. It definitely smells odd/different from usual but I can't tell if it's yeast I smell.
Now that I think of it, I've had similar problems in the past (and regularly), but I never actually took care of it and it seemed to have cleared off all of a sudden, and I've been problem-free for a few years now.
Could it be YI? If not, what else do you think it could be and how do I cure it?
