Hi, I have been having a weird problem and I'm just looking for some ideas on what could be causing this... For the last week or two, sex has been painful. It's a slight burning feeling on the inside whenever I try to have sex. A couple days ago, I started getting a light brown mixed with clear discharge. These are really my only symptoms -- no itching or anything. Usually I would assume brown discharge = spotting or period starting, but my periods are pretty regular and it shouldn't be coming until around February 10. Also, I have a Paragard, so if my period were on its way, I would know, because of the cramps.

Any idea what this could be?

Hi veeps!

My last period started around December 28; as with my other periods, it started with faint brown discharge, then about two days later, switched to "regular" period stuff. I'm pretty sure I ovulated when I was supposed to (January 13 or 14), judging by the discharge that I had, but I did notice that this time, the discharge was bloody--not something that I tend to experience. In fact, I think it's the first time I've ever had bloody ovulation fluid. A week later, around January 20 or 21, I had unprotected sex.

For the past few days or so, I've been experiencing some cramps, but no discharge whatsoever. The fact that I'm usually like clockwork (28 day cycle, with only a one- or two-day variation) makes me a little bit nervous; I got pregnant a few months ago while on a copper IUD, and I'd really hate for that to happen again.

Should I be worried?  Thanks in advance.

Edit: I began my period last night, so I guess I worried over nothing. Thanks for your reply, [livejournal.com profile] frolicnaked!

Hello. I've been battling a yeast infection from hell so I've been taking Diflucan. I took one Diflucan this past Tuesday and one the Tuesday before. Last night my boyfriend and I had sex. I'm on Ortho Novum 777 and take my pills the same time everyday, I rarely screw up the times and I haven't missed a day probably over a year. Does Diflucan interact with birth control pills? My midwife didn't tell me to use a back-up method. According to the period tracker ap on my phone, I'm on a high fertility day. I actually work in an OB GYN office and I've never heard anyone say that a back up method was needed and my office gives out Diflucan a lot. I'm going to ask the nurses at work tomorrow but I need my mind eased right now. Please help.
