UTI, recurring pain/irritation

I was put on medication for a UTI on Wednesday for 5 days. Usually, I am given 7 days of antibiotics which makes me feel better. I did sleep with somebody last night but it was protected. I think I might have gotten irritated down there because of it though, he was being rough :(. I have a little cut/abrasion near the opening of my vagina.

It doesn't hurt when I pee over the cut, but I am having discomfort now that resembles a UTI. I was feeling fine literally until an hour ago. I was doing some work and had to pee REALLY BAD and couldn't go for an hour. My urine was really cloudy when I went.

Does this sound like a UTI, or should I get it checked out for something further? I'm not in intense pain, but I do want to feel better ASAP.

Period while on Mirena?

Hello-
I had my Mirena placed 3 1/2 years ago. Normal implantation. I haven't had a period while on Mirena. It stopped them completely. 4 months ago, I had spot bleeding for a few days.
This week, out of the blue, I have a normal 7 day period complete with bloating and cramps.
I wondered if anyone else has had an experience like this.
I just felt it was strange that after so long, I would have a period.
Any advice would be helpful!

Percentages for Women on the Other Side of 40

Hello, VPers--

I'm probably one of the older VP community members here (at 43 years old, yikes!) and have a question regarding women on the "other side" of 40; What is the percentage for a woman in her mid-40s to conceive and carry a pregnancy to full term?

I have seen numbers as disparate as 20% to 1.6%.

I know every woman is different, but a reasonable ball-park figure would be helpful.

A little background about myself, I'm 43.6, am in reasonable good health, I practice safer-sex, have never been pregnant and have no desire to become pregnant.

Also, what is the percentage for a 40+ man's ability to impregnate a women? Again, the numbers I found were all over the map.

I'm just curious.

Condom broke during Placebo Week of BC

Hey guys, I know you all are very helpful and I am in desperate need of help right now.

My boyfriend and I just finished having sex and when he pulled out after he came, the condom was broken (first time trying Trojan Magnum Ecstasy, never again). I'm on birth control but I am on the second day of my placebo pill so I am freaking out really bad right now. I missed a pill during my first week (so over two and a half weeks ago) so I just shoved that in my mouth. I am so scared right now. I've never had a condom break before. I have to wait until 8 AM to talk to the campus nurse practitioner.

If anyone has any advice or knowledge or experience from this situation, it would be greatly appreciated.
