Hello everyone! I have been tracking my cycles for almost a year now, and I have noticed something odd. I will have a cycle lasting between 24-27 days one month, and the next I'll have one that lasts 35-38 days. I also have ovulation pains, and I know when I ovulate because I check my mucus and temperatures. The funny thing here is that I will feel ovulation pain in one side one month, and the other the next. It always goes "left, right, left, right". When I feel the pain in my left side, my cycles are shorter. When I ovulate from my right side, I will have the longer cycle. On my left, I always ovulate on either day 14 or 15. On my right, I get ovulation signs on about day 23, which accounts for the longer cycle.

Do you think there is any truth to my findings? I have been noticing this ever since I began my tracking. I don't think I have "irregular" periods because I always get one each month, and I have a "pattern", as described above. It's not inconvenient or painful....just odd! Could my right ovary just be...lazier than my left? Is any of this possible, or am I just losing my mind?   <.<

I'm taking Necon 1/35, mainly to prevent cysts on my right ovary (the birth control aspect is nice, too!), and have been since about April.

I've been without a job for the past week and a half (hopefully this will change after Wednesday *crosses fingers*), and since then I haven't been on a regular kind of schedule.

So I haven't been taking my pill at any certain time of day. I try to remember in the morning, but sometimes it's after lunchtime when I realize I haven't taken it for the day. (I take it as soon as I remember.)

How badly is this going to throw my system off? I think once I get another job I'll be right back to taking it at the same time (about 8 in the morning, give or take an hour), but until then how do I get back into the swing of things?

How do the Stars of VP remember to take their Pill? This is the first time in a long time I've been unemployed, and it's throwing me off.

Just a reminder that the deadline for VP's 10th birthday icon contest is this Wednesday, September 14th!

Also by way of bribery out of the goodness of my heart because I crochet way too damn much, there will be crocheted menstrual cup pouches for all entrants. (If you don't want a menstrual cup pouch, talk to me about something in the coin purse or beanie hat line of patterns.)

Additional prizes (TBA) for winners!

If you're interested, please to be icon-ing!

(Because I am too much in love with exclamation points, and "icon" is now a verb.)

A few days ago, I started getting itchy and sore down there, and I assumed it could have been a yeast infection.  But unlike my past YIs (or what I've assumed to be YIs.... never diagnosed, never treated), there was no unusual discharge or odor.

It's been about a week, and discomfort seems to have mostly alleviated... except today I notice a brownish/pinkish clear discharge that looks suspiciously like spotting.  I'm nowhere near due for my period, I've been taking my HBC on schedule every day, and I haven't had sex for a week (since the time that seemed to instigate the problem).... does that sound like a YI or something else?  Something I should be concerned about?

Thanks for the input, ladies!
