I have never had a noticeable UTI in my entire life. However, several weeks ago, after rushing to the ER in the middle of the night, I was diagnosed with kidney stones. After a week of misery and pain and about five prescriptions, the pain went away and I was back to normal.

Tonight, however, I was leaving the house when I felt a sharp, stabbing pain in my lower pelvic area, and it radiated out to my urethra(?). Shortly after, I found myself running to the bathroom every five minutes with a persistent, urgent need to pee. When I do go, nothing comes out.

That was almost 12 hours ago. It is 4 in the morning. I cannot sleep and I am in tears because I'm so miserable and it will not stop. I assume this is a UTI, however it is Sunday and my doctor's office is not open. I work all day Monday and so I won't be able to get in until Tuesday. How am I supposed to make it three days without sleeping? How can I work (in a daycare) when I have to pee every five minutes?

The pain is nothing compared to the kidney stones. The pain I can live with. But the constant pressure and urge to run to the bathroom is frustrating me beyond belief.

Help? Please?

Is it possible to get a pimple on your inner labia? It has been very hot (100+) here for the past two weeks, so I've been sweating a lot, though I do take a shower everyday. I've also bought some new body wash, but I'd think that would cause a rash rather than a pimple. I will post a picture when LJ is working again.

My hubby and I have been trying since december for a baby - frustrated - everyone else that DOESNT want to get preggo has gotten knocked up at work but me who WANTS to be preggers d*mnit. (sorry rant over)

anyway I am a cup user - love it rarely have issues unless my cervix goes to low

a few months back I got the PERIOD FROM HELL (henceforth known as the PFH)  cramping, felt like I was bleeding to death lasted _7_ days - felt like utter crap - waaaaay worse than usual. I was actually a month late - tested and tested and tested all negative - just about ready to call the dr when the PFH started :( - besides it being miserable - I was rather crushed. I had symptoms of pregnancy (or just really bad PMS) boobs hurt, sick in stomach, smells made me nauseated.... tired there were more but I cant remember

this period was VERY painful, very heavy, left me feeling odd and "jiggly" (like a nervous stomach in my uterus)

I was at work and  I emptied my cup.... and I looked in the toilet and there was a water balloon looking thing in there - about the size of a 50 cent piece (3cm) it was suspended in the toilet - had a bloody balloon (membrane) body but was see through - I couldnt see anything in it.... poked at it (gross I know - but I was half horrified) it deflated, I was in a lot of pain so I just finished cleaning up and left the bathroom, really bothered by what I had just seen, and the fact that I had to flush it - I mean I couldnt really fish it out and where the hell would I have put it? It really bothered me that I may have flushed a "baby" even though it wasnt visible (though what would I have done - buried it at home? - sorry I digress

was I preggo, was this just a weird period, and just the way my blood clotted together - never had this before.

Had something similar happen this past period - it was a week late - I was having symptoms (boobs swollen, dear lord they were sore and the nipples - dont even breathe on them!!!!) normally I do not have boob/nipple soreness. Also crying and cranky WAAAAY beyond my normal PMS (usually just things like Hallmark commercials get me - this time - the thought of a dead bug would set me to tears)

Got another PFH and had the weird membrane thing again - this time though it wasnt balloon shaped. period again very heavy VERY painful - to the point where I took a left over hydrocodone one night - pain was like a 9/10

my mother had such trouble getting preggers - and never tested positive on a p*ss test - could I be the same?
was I preggo????
if I was I wonder if it is my hormones that are causing me to abort, or the fetus just wasnt viable?

normally my PMS starts a week to 3 days before - I get some crampies, bloating, crampies, zits and then it starts - the period usually gets heavy the second day and runs 4-5 days with the 5th day being very light - why the uterine strife if I wasnt preggo - all the other periods I have had were normal for me (before and after them?

My cycle has never been consistent, except for a year or so in early high school when I was on the pill. It ranges from 28-35 days. I've always had a fairly heavy period, and used to have horrendous cramps that left me lying in the fetal position for hours. I was on the pill because of my cramps, no other reason, and I'm still not sexually active at the age of 21. When I went off the pill, my cycles slowly went from very regular to the slightly irregular 28-35 days it is now, but my cramps have been VERY managable. I'll usually have very light cramping for a few days before my period starts but not enough to take painkillers. I'll usually take a ibuprofen or two on the first day of my cycle. When I started usuing menstrual cups, I never had to take even an ibuprofen, so I thought life was going good! Until now...

My period started yesterday, and for the last week I've been ridiculously quick tempered. I always get a little PMSey, a little easier to anger and just moody in general, but this last week has been a nightmare. I've been snapping at my parents and boyfriend for the slightest little things and I've cried a couple times after snapping at them. I just can't believe how livid I've gotten over such little things lately, like taking a wrong exit or my mom reminding me to take a housekey with me when I leave the house (which she reminds me to do often and it always annoys me but never makes me ANGRY like it has this week). I mean normally these types of this would just be a minor annoyance but no big deal, you know?

You know that scale of 1-10 the doctor always gives you to rate your pain? Where 1 is no pain and 10 is the worst pain imaginable? My cramps are usually a 2 the few days before my period and then maybe a 3, possibly a 4 on the first day. This cycle it was a 3 the few days before, a 5 all day yesterday, managed with ibuprofen. But oh, i woke up in the middle of the night last night with a solid 8 that would get sharper pains in the 9 region. It was probably the the most horrible cramps I've ever had in my life. It was so bad that when I hobbled down the stairs to take a painkiller I couldn't stand up straight and didn't even make it to the kitchen where the medicine was. I got to the living room couch and just collapsed and rolled up. I managed to fall back asleep and when I woke up the cramps were down to a 6, with some sharp pains approaching an 8. I took some excedrin migraine (because I also developed a menstrual migraine, yay) and since then I've been at a dull 2 or 3. ugh. Needless to say it's been a miserable couple of days. AND my period has been noticably heavier this cycle.

Also, for reference: I haven't had any major life changes, no out of the ordinary stresses, no problems with the boyfriend or the parents. No real diet changes. My mom has a history of ovarian cysts, but no surgeries for them. She's also a breast cancer survivor- so I'm wary to ever go on the pill again because I don't want to increase my chances for breast cancer more. If I do have another couple of periods this bad in a row I might go on the pill for a while again to get this all straightened out.

So, should I worry about the posibility of ovarian cysts? Do they make periods heavier? Or should I just assume this is one of those random things that happen now and again? Or any other ideas?

Thanks, vagina owners!

Hello, I've read & asked many questions already on stacking HBC but I've reached another dilemma.. I have successfully been stacking Aviane for 4 packs now. My doctor wrote a prescription stating to take 4 packs back to back with 1 week in between for placebos. I know that many women just keep stacking without taking a break, and I feel that its fine to do so and would like to do that. However, I'm worried insurance won't cover it if I don't follow the directions. I also have a physical in a few weeks and think my doctor would prefer if I could tell her when my last period was/ follow the instructions!

Okay, now to the question: I had a lot of trouble getting stacking to actually work (2 weeks of bleeding that I thought would never stop!) and I'm afraid if I take a week for placebos, it will be very hard to get back to no spotting or anything for the next 4 packs. Its really important to me that I don't have a period for the rest of the summer! Does anyone have any experience with this? When you took a week off after a few months, was it very light and almost nonexistent? Or did it go crazy and became difficult to successfully stack again..

Thanks everyone!
