What is wrong with my vagina?

Quite a while ago, I started getting the following problems: Sex hurt, which I assumed was from a small pause in sexual activity, but whether it's frequent or irregular, the pain has never gone. It hurts more as he goes in than during, but there is pain nonetheless. Sex has also caused what I'd describe as papercuts just at the bottom of my vagina. And I thought I had slightly thicker discharge than I was used to.

Eventually, I went to the doctors and had a swab done. The results (though I'm not sure what they specifically looked for) were all negative. When I had the swab done though, the nurse said that things did look a bit tender down there.

I don't understand why I keep getting cut. We always use extra lube. It's very annoying. It puts me off sex a bit because I know the beginning is likely to hurt.

Transvaginal US for excessive bleeding

Hi everyone, I'm a bit nervous about an upcoming trans-vaginal ultrasound I have scheduled for Monday.

A few weeks ago I started to suffer heavy vaginal and rectal bleeding and cramps while on BCP. It had gone on for 14 days before I had a chance to see a doctor. At first he thought it was just breakthrough bleeding until I mentioned the rectal bleeding. He gave me an exam and didn't see anything but suggested I get an ultrasound and see a gastroenterologist as well.

My first question is, will a trans-vaginal ultrasound show endometriosis? I've had a problem with heavy bleeding, cramps, nausea and rectal bleeding since I was 14 but due to lack of insurance and rude doctors I've never been tested.

My second question is, what should I expect during the ultrasound? All they've told me is to drink lots of water and come with a full bladder. Is it a long procedure?

Okay, so I post on here a lot about how HORRIBLE HBC is to me and how it makes me anxious to the point of panic attacks. Well.. I went to a new doctor and she gave me new pills... I had ONE day of anxiety during the entire month and then... it's been WONDERFUL. I am seriously SO happy about it because the pills are working WONDERFULLY with my system and after that one day of horrible feelings I went back to the normal me and things have been awesome since.

I just wanted to thank everyone that pitched in with my problems with pills and condoms and let you know I FINALLY found something that works. I am so happy and I finally feel IN CONTROL of my own sexuality and birth control again =)
