I was reading www.the-clitoris.com and it's stated that women generally have a harder time reaching orgasm during sex than men, and that this might be a societal thing. I was wondering if there are any studies/ info that suggests women from other countries have an easier time reaching orgasm?

just to clarify, when I say sex I'm including manual, oral, etc not just piv

I think I figured this out, but every time I double check myself, my brain gets tied in a knot, so I'd like to ask this lovely group to be sure.

I took 2 extra pills by mistake from a new pack (I had skipped my period using 2 packs, and for two days forgot that I'd decided to let myself have a break. Silly.), so I took 44 active pills in all (21 + 21 + 2). As long as I start my new pack (which is missing 2 pills) by Sunday, I will have had no more than 7 days without active pills.

So, as long as I go no more than 7 days without active pills, I will be protected for the next 19 days with the remaining pills in this new pack. And then I will also be protected for 7 inactive pill days after those 19 active pill days. It will be the NEXT pack that I need to worry about using a back-up method for 7 days.

Right?

Thank you! It's been a long day and I will feel much better having a second opinion from such an educated group.

I am 27 days past ovulation still no anything. I do have a extreme increase in cervical mucus, and the worst case of constipation ever. I mean yes I have lately been having constipation problems but not this bad,and even with the cysts I have had I never missed a cycle. The real question is, can mood stabalizers and anti-depressants cause a missed cycle? I never been so sick to my stomach either. :-S

Possible BV

Hi VPers, I posted the other day with my symptoms and everything seems to come back to BV. As I explained, the inside of my vagina feels swollen, puffy and I'd even say lumpy, especially the top just past the entrance. You can feel it's different than usual, swollen, before even entering, like it's blocked. Today it seems worse and I have now finished my period so I am booking an appointment for tomorrow with a female doctor. I have never ever had anyone look down there apart from my boyfriend as he is my first. I'm really nervous. I don't know how I will relax myself when she takes a sample. Will it be painful? Also my cervix seems incredibly low at the moment, will that cause problems? Will she turn me away? Should I definitely stay away from sex until I know what the problem is or will it be okay with a condom? Thanks..

So, I've explained my cervical pain more than once. Extreme pressure upon entry. No idea what it is, doctor can't say more than "use lube".
Recently, the abdominal cramping and spotting have occurred. I'm on continuous BC pills, so the spotting was expected a few times, but I've been spotting for over a month now.
Anyway, these cramps come and go. They are a feeling of weakness that goes from below my bellybutton, right around the bottom of the belly, all the way to my knees. I have noticed that after this pain, I have a bowel movement. I have a severe anxiety disorder that causes IBS, and have nothing wrong with me functionally (I've had a colonoscopy, gastroscopy, abdominal ultrasound and abdominal MRI).
The gyno found polyps/tissue/fibroids (she didn't put a name to it really) last week in an ultrasound and I'm scheduled for surgery two weeks from today. I wish I could say this will stop my pain, but I'm starting to think this isn't even the cause. Could it be IBS causing these cramps? Or could they be legitimately gyno related, but cause me to become nervous (they scare me!), and then furthering me to have a BM because of the IBS/anxiety?
The only reason I believe it's gyno related was the timing. This pain started when the spotting started. But nobody knows why I'm in pain. Nobody knows why my cervix has decided to (feels like...) swell up and hate everything that goes into it. Nobody has any answers and I'm scared. I'm only 20. I can't have sex regularly anymore. It's been over two months since I have. I feel horrible about everything.
I'm scared. Period.

Hey folks =)

What exactly are the guidelines for pap smears in the united states? All of my doctors have firmly pushed the "once a year" timeline, but I keep reading that the guidelines actually say every three years. Is this misinformation or is this true? Reasoning for my question under the cut for potential triggers.
