Okay, so I'm not convinced silicone lube will automatically destroy my high-quality silicone toys, but I don't really have the funds to find out, lol. I also know that some women just can't tolerate silicone lubes (or can ONLY tolerate silicone lubes), so I figured this might be useful here. I've spent the past few hours compiling information and thought I'd share what I have (and hopefully get input from others as well). Hope this helps! I sure wish someone would have had this already listed. :P I make no guarantees as to the accuracy of this since I don't actually make condoms, use the list at your own risk, etc.

Condoms that are safe for silicone toys (Uses water-based lube that may contain glycerin or parabens):
-Beyond Seven
-Crown
-Paradise flavoured (no clue about unflavoured)
-Trojan ENZ (possibly most Trojans)
-Probably anything unlubricated

Condoms that are generally NOT safe for silicone toys (uses silicone-based lube which may melt toys):
-Caution Wear
-Contempo(?)
-Durex
-One
-Premium
-Vivid

Any more to add to the list? A scary number of condom makers don't even tell you what kind of lube is on the condom, let alone, provide an ingredients list!

I had unprotected sex very early friday morning. I have been sick/having diarrhea for the past few days and when I took the morning after pill this morning, about half an hour later it happened again. I read over and googled around a little bit and everywhere I look it just says vomiting is a problem, nothing about diarrhea but is this the case? Should I get another dose or something? Thanks!

Hi lovely VPers!

I've been on Ortho tri cyclen lo for two years now and I haven't tried to stack before, so I did some research here and it looks like starting my next pack backward (1-2-3-3-2-1, then withdrawal bleed) would be the most effective way to do so, starting tomorrow.

Unfortunately the reason I'm stacking is because my grandmother's funeral will be next week/weekend, and I'll be spending a lot of time in the car and my emotional state will be shaky enough without adding menstruation to the mix, you know?  It makes sense to me that grief/stress could do strange things to a cycle, even if HBC is involved, so I'm a little worried.

Does anyone have any thoughts?  Is stacking through this next week a bad or good idea?

Last weekend I was expecting my period but since it didn't come, I had sex on Saturday and Sunday but my boyfriend decided to use the withdrawal method instead of wearing a condom. I'm sure he did it correctly. But I made a mistake of not being aggressive enough about me wanting him to wear a condom:(.

I've been waiting to get my period this past week, but it didn't come yet. Instead I've been getting this very light brown discharge since Monday up until now. My breasts tend to feel fuller before my period and when I'm on it and that is how they've been feeling for the past week.

This isn't the first time my period has been late. Lately I've been stressing out due to family problems.

I want to take a pregnancy test but I'm wondering how accurate would the results be if I took one in the next 2 days??

EDIT: I got my period 20 minutes after I posted this lol.

Hi, I have seen people talk about coconut oil as a great lube on here. My question is, where do you buy it? I looked at the regular grocery store and they didn't seem to have anything. Do you have to buy it at a Whole Foods type place? Can anyone recommend a brand or type or something?

Also, does anyone know is coconut oil is safe to use with the We-Vibe2?

Thank you!

A while ago I went to a sexual health clinic to get a script for birth control. The doctor asked if I had ever had a migraine, and I told her that I've gotten some fairly bad headaches before, but I could usually pinpoint the cause (lack of sleep, dehydration, no coffee in the morning). She asked if any of them had any visual symptoms/aura. I told her no, but once when I was about 10 or so, I saw some weird swirly/sparkles, and when I told my mom about it she thought I was getting a migraine, but I never actually got a headache.

The doctor seemed concerned, and told me that there was a study that showed women who get migraines with aura are significantly more likely to get a stroke on hormonal birth control than other women. She said she would still write me the script if I wanted, it was my choice, but she wanted me to be informed because it may apply to me. We talked a bit more and decided it was worth going on for the benefits. I got a three month script for Alesse (she said it was one of the lower doses, so safer) to try out.

Fast-forward and I'm back at the office for a renewal. I tolerated it very well, no issues.

This time, however, I get a different doctor. He asks the same questions, I tell him the same thing. "You can't have hormonal birth control. If you saw an aura, you have an 800 times greater chance of having a stroke." I was stunned. He suggested the progesterone-only pill would be safe, but I had already decided that wasn't a good fit for me.

So now I'm asking, does anyone know any more about this? I've searched online (and on this site), but I can't seem to find any hard numbers or the actual original study, just 'increased risk'. I haven't found ANYTHING that used the number 800. And I just saw an 'aura' once, without a headache - does anyone know if the study applies to me?

Thank you for your time. I know I should go back and talk to a doctor again, but I can't bring myself to. I felt so stupid in that room, like I had no business being there.

EDIT: I have an appointment to go back to the clinic to talk to another doctor. I'm feeling a lot more confident and prepared to discuss my situation now. Thank you all for the replies! I was really upset - you have no idea how much your info, opinions, and experiences helped. This place is wonderful!

Quick question, because this is really annoying me and I can picture the exact Dr's appt that I would have if I went to the doctor right now.

"Well doc, you see, I'm having the problem with vaginal smell and peeling skin in my armpits and between my toes."

Doctor " Hm. Well, put hydrocortizone cream on the peeling skin and don't worry about the vaginal smell if it doesn't itch or burn"

End of appt. lol. Anyway, that's sort of what's been going on. A couple of weeks ago I had red, itchy, flaky skin between my toes. At the same time, I noticed that I had it in my armpits too. In the armpits, it looks JUST like sunburn that is peeling. More recently, I've noticed my vaginal scent has changed. It went from the normal, musky/sweet smell to an acrid, metallic smell. Almost like burning hair?

Anyway, from googling around it looked like the rash on my feet could be plain 'ol Althletes foot. I got a cream for it at the pharmacy and it certaintly hasn't gotten any worse....what are the odds that my vagina, my armpits, and my feet all have a yeast infection? Is that even possible? I haven't changed any soaps, deodorants, socks, etc that I can think of, and I've never had this problem before.

Ideas on what it could be/how I should treat it? The antifungal cream isn't making it better or worse (it gets better for a few days, then comes back worse for a few days), and I've been using it for about 2 weeks.

P.S. There's an outside chance that this could be connected to my IUD. I have a Paragard (copper) and although I've NEVER had a copper allergy before, I've also never put copper inside my uterus. Maybe this is an allergy to the copper? It's been 8 months since the insertion, however, and it seems odd that it would start now.
