Has anyone ever heard of this? I have had unexplainable vaginal itching (mostly outer and gets worse the day and then weeks after I shave) for at least 3 1/2 years. It's the worst at night. I try not to scratch b/c that seems to exacerbate it, but sometimes it's so intense that I'll wake up in the middle of the night, scratching in my sleep! I've been to multiple doctors, gyno's, Planned Parenthood, they all check me out and tell me nothing is wrong. They say, "sometimes women just have unexplainable itching." However, this does not help! One doctor suggest I put a small amount of mineral oil on to soothe it, but I don't know what the research says about that. I was also under the impression that mineral oil was bad (for environmental and health reasons!) but maybe I made that up?

My human sexuality teacher talked about esoteric (I think that's what she called it) yeast infections that seem to stick around for years and never seem to be fully alleviated. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I googled it and wasn't able to find anything. :(

I'm MISERABLE and sometimes can't even enjoy sex b/c I am so irritated down there! It really lowers my libido b/c I'm uncomfortable before we even start to DO anything! If anyone knows anything about this, pleaaaaase help me.

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here. I checked the tags and faq about plan b but couldn't seem to find my answer so hopefully this is ok.

In the beginning of the month, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and took plan b less than 12 hours afterwards. He didn't ejaculate in me, however I'm not on HBC (due to health concerns and the fact that I feel it is really not that healthy for your body). I had some spotting after (it was light, then super super heavy, then light again. it lasted 3 days) 4 days after I took it. My period is due somewhere between the 26th and the 1st (usually my cycle is a 3-4 days longer than a 28 day cycle but it varies). Last night we had protected sex, but the condom broke. We stopped way before he ejaculated. Is it safe to take plan b twice in one month? What will it do to my cycle? I've heard that it can mess up your cycle and give you spotting for 3 months, is that true? I should be ovulating right around now, so I'm relatively more concerned about an unplanned pregnancy right now than I was the first time I took it.

Thanks in advance

Ps- I know I should be more responsible aout using a more reliable birth control method than condoms, but I really am not too keen on pumping my body full of hormones that can cause horrible side effects.

Back in January I had an ultrasound that confirmed the presence of an ovarian cyst. Just last week I went back for a follow-up ultrasound and the cyst is gone; everything looks good. However, I still feel a slight feeling of pressure, or something, in the area of my ovary off and on. It's not the same as when I had the cyst, necessarily. I didn't mention it to the gynecologist because at the time the feeling was "off" and I was so excited that the cyst was gone (surgery had been on deck if it wasn't) I honestly just forgot about it. But now I'm wondering what this could be? There's obviously nothing physically wrong with my ovary since that would have been apparent on the ultrasound, correct? I never feel twinges like this on the other side, nor did I ever feel anything like this before I had the cyst. I know I had been unconciously pressing on the area often (not too hard), could I have tweaked a muscle?

Thanks!

On May 17 I got my period. It's always 6-7 days.
On May 19 I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. We had no condoms and in the heat of the moment decided if I was menstruating, my chances were slim on getting preggers. He also said he'd pull out but didn't make it in time.
Later that night, my normally heavy period stopped. If I did bleed, it was light and brown.
On May 20 my flow was normal again. Later that day I bought Plan B.
My period lasted three extra days but it could have also been the hormone drop from the Plan B.

And now here I am a month later, three days late for my period...

And I know it said my period could be earlier, later or right on time but I figured if I took it during my period, it would be right on time. And I'm sure my stressing isn't helping. But I'm PMS-ing: mood swings, some cramps, sore breasts, but nothing is happening.

I got pregnant in late January and had an abortion. And even though I try to block out that memory, I think about it from time to time to calm myself. I figure I went through it before, if I feel like that again, I'll know if I'm pregnant. But I don't feel the same. The cramps I had then were different.. the cramps I'm getting now feel like the ones I normally get just not as severe.

I'm just scared and worried. And I know I'm an idiot for not using protection and I deserve what I get.. but I think one abortion is enough. Not to mention I don't have nearly enough money for another...

Aside from getting a pregnancy test, do you all think I could be pregnant? :( How lucky would I have to be in the biological lottery for it to happen?

And want to know the worst part? I'm getting birth control Monday....

Hi everyone. I recently just started nuvaring; I'm on my second month. I used to be on it for about a year or two about 3 or so years ago. When I used to be on it, from what I remember, my periods always came on time. Last month I took out my ring at 9:30pm on Wednesday night and got my period Friday overnight/Saturday morning. This month I took the ring out around 11pm/12am on Wednesday night (I know, I'm stupid for forgetting). Well, it's Saturday, almost 6:30pm and I still haven't got it, not even spotting. Should I be worried? Is this abnormal?

FYI My boyfriend and I did have sex without a condom and he came in me. We should be protected, but I know it's not always 100% which is why I'm a bit worried.

ive been on yaz for about 2 years now, and i love it.. its regulated my pmdd symptoms like nothing else ever has, so i willingly pay the ridiculous $75 for it every month because its really made my symptoms SO much more manageable. (thanks carefirst, for being near useless when it comes to coverage!) i have had horrible experiences on other pills, so im a little paranoid to say the least of trying something else.

when i went to pick up my pills today, i noticed they were cheaper than normal -- $50 instead of $75. i asked the pharmacy tech why and she told me it was a new generic for yaz called Gianvi.. she didnt really know much of anything beyond that, she just told me it was the same thing and not to worry and sent me on my way.

I found it a little bizarre she didnt bother to tell me until i mentioned the difference myself... but what on earth is Gianvi? I've never heard of it, and from everything ive read, Yaz generics arent approved until next year at this time. Keeping that in mind, and the general complete lack of information the pharmacy gave me on it, I feel a little wary.

Does anyone know about this? Is it honestly the same formulation and an approved Yaz generic, and why was it released so early?

I started using a Keeper yesterday. I'm finding it incredibly difficult to get it out. The directions say to pinch the base to break the suction, but it seems like doing that would require getting my entire hand up in my vagina? So instead I'm grabbing onto the stem and yanking as hard as I can. I've trimmed the stem a little bit, so there's not a lot to hold onto and it's (unsurprisingly) slippery.

Any advice? Does it get easier?

Hello all

I've recently begun taking hbc (tri-sprintec), my third week begins tomorrow.

Starting about a few days ago I've begun to feel the strange weight and pain in my ovaries I've always associated with ovulation. I was under the impression you didn't ovulate on the pill, so I'm really wondering what my body's doing right now! It's immensely uncomfortable :(

I haven't missed any pills--I took one two hours late last week because I forgot to bring them once when I went out, but that's it.

Help?

I had my first brazillian wax two days ago. Originally my vagina was pretty red and a little sore afterwards, but now there's bits of dry skin starting to flake a bit! What should I use to calm it down? I was offered to buy an after-wax cream thing, which I did, but am a little nervous to use it incase it irritates my vagina! Anyone got any home remedies to stop this dryness?

Also, I noticed I had a small spot near the top of my vagina. It's like a whitehead you can get on your face. Is that normal? I ended up squeezing it and it came out fine but just thought that was odd.
