Just a question - is anyone here familiar with Loestrin fe 1/20? I was taking microgestin (the generic kind of Loestrin) and my doctor switched me to Loestrin because I had been bleeding irregularly. Anyway, I've been on Loestrin for a little over a month now, and I'm on my 2nd week of the pill pack. I started bleeding again this morning. I only had my period two weeks ago. I've been wondering what this could be, because I have some ideas.

1) I've been REALLY stressed out lately. I'm currently working three jobs, and not having an easy time with that.

2) My mom has been in the hospital for almost a week, and she's getting better now, but at first, I was really freaking out, and that was when I was starting my 3rd job. So it was a lot to deal with.

3) I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating, because I'm on my 2nd week of the pill pack and my next period isn't due for another two weeks when I start my sugar pills. I heard that sometimes people can experience bleeding during ovulation.

I'm just really angry and confused and I thought this mess would be over (with not having in-between periods anymore), but apparently not. Any help would be appreciated. If you need more info to help you better answer my question, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks :)

If I start taking the birth control pill on the first day of my period, will I continue to just have a regular period, and then have another one during the placebo week? Or will it mess with my cycle?

The last two times I was on this pill I started it when I wasn't on my period, and I spotted throughout the entire first pack until my period came. Is that something a lot of women experience? And, does starting the pill on the first day eliminate that?

Also, skipping periods while on the pill - Is this usually successful, or will spotting/breakthrough bleeding occur most of the time?

hornyness..

Well before i went on BC obviously i was hopping off the walls with hornyness about a week before my period. And i am the same since i went on BC but i was wondering out of curiosity if im on BC and not supposed to be ovulating is there a scientific reason behind this or do your hormones just stay the same minus the egg?

im not complaining at all except we all know how frustrating it is to be climbing up and down the walls when your not so nice in the nethers:(

its more out of curiosity but i was wondering i anyone could shed some light?

cheers:)

EDIT:
oral anyone...?

tbh i have always enjoyed sex and all things sexual except oral sex on myself...
i have had good oral sex 3 times in my life and only orgasimed once from it!
I try to give direction as much as i can and be pretty firm about what speed i want and what feels good for me. I know alot of guys i have been with really just dont know what they are doing which contributes to my problem but even when it IS good i cant cum from it.(except the one time which lasted about 3 hours)
does anyone else have the problem of oral just boring you? and not really getting you anywhere even when you give directions?

i think half of it is that every time i have it i get a flashback of my 1st bf doing it and good was it HORRIBLE! do you have any tips from stopping me get a flashback of that prick between my legs and killing the moment for me??

thanks gals:0

Okay, so this is pretty embarassing... Please bear with me...

Well, I have this really big mirror in my bathroom, which I love, 'cause I can examine my body pretty well through it (I've come to find that not only fun but also very useful). Anyway, I've noticed a long time ago that the skin of my anus is dark. My normal skin tone is actually white, I'm caucasian. But the skin around my anus is dark, blending from the white of my buttocks to a maroonish color, and later on to a very dark blackish hue. I hate that, and I'm especially afraid my boyfriend will think it's gross, as he's used to seeing porn and -as we all know- porn chicks are flawless. They all have a pink anuses! Theirs' are light, they look "clean". My is clean, I swear (LOL), but one can only assume it really is, as you can't tell because of the dark dark complexion that colors it...

Also, the crease between my buttcheeks is really strong, like, there's this really strong dark pink color in it. Just along the crease, pretty much from the blackness of the anus all the way up to the butt crack.

And again, in between the buttcheeks, but much above the anus: another dark skin color just sits there, embarassing me, like my skin is molding or something. I hate this one especially, as it looks like a grey stain inside my butt.

Is there anything I can do to make the color inside my butt look homogenous? I'm so embarassed by this...

Thanks in advance!

Hi VP'ers!
Lately, I've been really (and I mean REALLY) fed up with my NuvaRing.  I'm sick of the moodiness, lack of sex drive (why BE on BC if you're not going to want to have sex!?), weight gain, hair loss, dry eyes, etc.  Basically, all of their negative side effects, I've got.
I got the ring last January because I had a really hard time remembering to take my pill.  I loved the convenience of the ring, and hate the effects.  I've been in my current relationship for 4 years, so my risk of getting an STD is pretty much nil.

So I'm looking into Paragard (possibly Mirena, but their website still claims it's for women who have had children).  However, I haven't been able to answer my own questions by research, and was hoping that I could get some here.
1. I don't have insurance, due to losing my job in May.  Can I get a clinic lik PP to do an IUD for me?  What would the cost look like, considering I'm currently under their "guidelines" for poverty?
2. I've always battled with acne, even when on HBC.  If I begin a Paragard, is it possible that my acne will revert to pre-HBC levels?  Does anyone else have skin problems with this?
3. With Paragard, do you still experience moodiness, depression, or loss of sex drive?

Like I said, I'm currently jobless and have no insurance.  My BC is almost up, and I know I need to get more, or risk being a very unhappy, sexless woman.  If anyone has any suggestions where to get an IUD for little to no cost, I'd love to have that information too!
Thanks for your help!

i'm sure this is part of women's health 101, but i just have to ask to be certain:
is it unhealthy to not have your period, if the reason your not having it is because of your POP/mini-pill?

i've had mine once in the course of the four months i've been taking cerazette. i don't mind not having it, but my mom is convinced that it is unhealthy. admittedly, i haven't been in perfect health the past couple of months but i believe that's because i've had mono and not because i've not had my period.

thank you!
