Ovulation and period question.

Hey everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful evening/night/day, whatever time it is where you are. ;] I posted a while ago about my period changing after years of regularity, and everyone who commented basically said that sometimes periods change throughout our lives, and that I shouldn't be concerned, so I haven't been. To recap, since I started my period at age 11, I've been extremely regular and consistent. Every month on the same day (give or take a one or two) with spotting, light a few days, heavy one or two days and then it was over. So it always lasted roughly 4 or 5 days. Now, the last few cycles have lasted 6-8 days with heavier bleeding that tapers off on the last few days. I'm guessing that this is what my period will be like now, which sucks because 8 days seems long for me. I'm not on BC, never have been, and I'm 26, 27 in April. Soo.. Sorry for the novel, onto my question. I know that ovulation occurs about 2 weeks before your period starts. Since my period is now lasting days longer than before will this change my ovulation dates, or is it just the start date of your period that matters? Even though my period is lasting longer now, I'm still very regular with my start dates, every 27-29 days or so. So will ovulation still occur as it always has? And any experiences with your cycle suddenly changing after 26 years of the same thing would be awesome, too. I'm not experiencing any pain other than cramping like normal, and although my flow is pretty heavy these past few months, it's still in the range of healthy and normal. Thanks in advance!
