Hi guys. I've posted a few other times due to the breast lump I've had for over four years that never showed on multiple ultrasounds, etc. I finally decided to have it biopsied and went through with it today. Not a pleasant thing, but glad it's over with.

I need some reassurance though. I'm in the waiting-for-answers-stage now, so I guess that's the time you usually worry, right?! LOL. I won't know the results until Monday or Tuesday. I'm pretty sure it's not the C word (I hope and pray it isn't!!!!) and think it's a fibroadenoma, but why didn't that show on an ultrasound? Don't those always show on ultrasounds? I had two ultrasounds and then one today right before the biopsy that showed nothing. The doctors tell me that since I've had the lump for four years and it never changed size that there's really no need to worry about it, but that the biopsy will be a peace of mind.

Just curious as to others out there who've had this procedure or those who have had lumps that found out they were fibroadenoma or something non-cancerous? Or those who've had ultrasounds that never showed your lump and what did that end up being??? I know this isn't a cyst because it was not fluid filled.

Thanks guys. Just a little worried is all and need some reassurance.

Not really women's health related but-

I remember filling out that survey that promised a free menstrual cup a few months ago.

I was wondering if anyone actually got theirs?

hmmm?

If I am supposed to get, my period on the 5th (been extremely steady for a year now, no birth control), would I get it on the 7th this month? Since there were 28 days in February?

Or am I pregnant, lol :D

I've been on Microgestin 1.5/30 for close to three years. I take it every night before bedtime (a variance of 2 hours at the most). This past month I drank too much one night after not having had a drink in a while, and I ended up throwing up about 30 min after taking my pill. I didn't think about that possibly being a missed pill at the time, so I didn't make it up.

Now I'm on day 7 of my placebos and no period. I spotted a little earlier in the week after sex - not sure if I should take that as my period though. I put a tampon in because I saw a bit of pink when I wiped, and it barely stained it. I've been having cramps, but only in my lower abdomen and not in my vagina/cervix area where they usually are.

So...likelihood of pregnancy is pretty low, right? My fiance and I have sex on average 1/day.

Thanks in advance! I keep expecting my period to show up (usually comes on day 3 of placebos), but it hasn't and now I'm worried.

I'm on Orthro Tri Cyclen Low. I missed a few pills this month, randomly... always made them up, of course, but I'm now experiencing breakthrough bleeding. I expected it, because of the inconsistency of my pill-taking this month, but my question is, since I'm still taking active pills (which run out early next week) and I'm bleeding... can I skip the placebo week, and stack my pills and Skip the withdrawal bleed? Does this often work? Will it only further mess my body system up, or is it worth a try?

I have got really bad periods. They really hurt and are unenjoyable all together. I went on birth control at 18 to control the pain. However, every year or so, whatever BC I'm on fails to stop the pain. It's like my body loves the change in hormone cocktail, and then it gets used to it and the pain comes back.

I really thought that Depo would be my best shot, but here we are at the year mark and now I'm experiencing back pain, cramping and spotting for the third time in as many months.

Have any of you had this problem? I'm tired of this pain! (Also, docs suspect endo, but the lap hasn't been done to confirm)

I've been on Micronor, a POP since December and didn't get a period until the 22nd of Feb. It was light, but very dark red/brown and not spotting based on my experience. Today I have discharge that looks like clearish boogers, there's a slight bit of blood in it but that might be a side effect of my pill. Would that indicate ovulation? Should I use condoms with my pills because of this discharge and the way POP's work? I was on this before but never had this kinda of discharge. It was always thick and creamy.

I have had two yeast infections, and I've read about what to avoid to not have them happen, and I don't do anything to really make them keep coming back. I'm wondering what really causes them to keep coming back? I get the itching really bad especially on the sides of my leg opening, and it's bad enough to itch my skin raw. What can help that? I've tried Monistat over the counter and it didn't work for me. Any suggestions?

So I have started noticing the beginnings of a yeast infection within the last few days. I would really really prefer not to do the whole messy creams/yogurt if I don't have to. My symptoms are really mild; no real pain or itching, just a bit of cottage cheesy stuff. So I picked up YEAST DEFENSE by "Nutrition Now" which are these herbal formula capsules.

Has anyone tried them and had luck with them? Should they help with potential thrush? (Boyfriend went down on me, we had sex with a condom and THEN I noticed the discharge...but he didn't seem to notice anything.) Should I suppliment them with acidophilus maybe?

OK!

How long after bleeding post D+C will you ovulate? I bleed for 18 days, the last 4-5 were quite light bleeding, stopped for hours, would bleed for 1 hour-2 hours then stop, Saturday night I got a very very painful pain in my left side and fell to the ground, similar to the pain I was getting pre-D+C... So if I bleed for 18 days when do you think I'll ovulate?!

Also just out of curiosity, how long after sexy times, will implantation bleeding happen?
Cheers :D

Cyst?

So, I was put on birth control when I was 15 because of PCOS (or what they thought was PCOS), and I havnt had a cyst since. So, I dont know what it feels like to have a cyst as I dont really remember, but I'm pretty sure I have one now. I was put on Prozac two weeks ago, but I dont know if that will have anything to do with it. I have a pain in what I think is my left ovary. It's a little to the right of the pelvic bone, beneath the muscle. It's a cramping pain that hurts enough to make me a little naseous. I wake up in the middle of the night in so much pain I just curl up with a pillow pressed on it. I'm trying to use pressure and heat to ease the pain but its not getting through at all. I've had it for about 4 days now, and I'm not sure what the deal is. Any ideas? Does this sound like a cyst?

Since I was sixteen I've had terrible cramps during my period. I end up popping over twelve IB profen during the day and am still hurting. It's hard to work or concentrate and a pain in the neck. I'm not on BC and this afternoon when my cramps hit, my SO came over and found me curled in bed at almost 1 in the afternoon. I'd already popped four motrin an hour before and it still hadn't done anything.

He told me he thought I should go to a doctor. I told him the best that could happen was I'd get prescribed BC since I don't have symptoms of anything else. Thing is, I don't really want to be on BC. Screwing around with my hormones has always freaked me out and, as shallow as it may sound, I really don't want to gain any weight. It's taken me awhile to get my body in a place where I'm generally happy with it.

I also don't know if I could afford it. I'm living week to week in this economy and don't have a lot of money to spare.

I'm also worried about my emotions. I can be irrational at times and I don't want to exacerbate that.

But I am in a place of considering it. I'm sexually active and wouldn't mind having some of the control in the protection and I don't always want the trouble of having to be constantly prepared at the beginning of the month to be in pain and working for eight hours.

What I'm looking for are stories or ideas of BC where it worked out. No weight gain or emotional issues and whether it sounds like something I should look into trying.

I just recieved my first Depo shot yesterday and yeah it burned, but it was okay .. Until today I noticed a rash right next to where I was injected. Of course, I freaked out and started inspecting it. My grandma said not to worry its probably a reaction from the band aid, but on one side of it there's like this lump thing. If I push on my skin, I feel this weird lump. WTF IS IT?!?! :(

AND yesterday I went to my regular doctor too, thinking I have strep because my throats been sore. Turns out I have mono. My question is though can I really not kiss my boyfriend for 6 months? I know that sounds lame, but shit I can't even go a day without sex let alone kissing.

One last thing, I know it takes 7 days for the shot to because completely effective. But even after that my boyfriend still insists on using condoms, since its only 99% effective. Thing is I don't want to, I can't stand condoms because .. Well, I'm not sure how to explain it they're just annoying. Am I being unreasonable? .. I have a feeling I am, but I'd like others opinions.

TIA! SOO MUCH! (This is my first post btw, can you tell? :D)

I had a pap smear yesterday. I wonder how long it'll take to get the results? My gynecologist is thinking that I may have endometriosis, which I know can't be tested without a laparoscopy, but I'm curious to see if I have precancerous cells on my cervix. My mom said she did before she was diagnosed with endometriosis.

My doctor changed my birth control from Yaz to Ortho Tri Cylclen. I'm wondering what effect this will have on my fibrocystic breasts? Before Yaz they hurt all the time. :( Terribly.

For all past relationships, I've faked orgasms. I don't want to do it with this guy. It's just that it takes a lot of for me to come, and in a certain way. I only ever come when I'm by myself masturbating with a pillow between my legs. Sex is awesome but it just doesn't get me off. Clitoral stimulation by his hand is also good, but it that still doesn't get me off either. I don't know. I feel like I'm doomed to orgasm-by-pillow disease forever.

How can I "practice" or "learn" how to come by other sexual stimulation? Please help!

TIA!
