i tried googling this, but found nothing.

i haven't been on birth control since having my son in july 2007, but was too fertile not to be on anything. so i just started the ring 2 1/2 weeks ago.
i now have the worst indigestion of my life. i'm living on tums.
is this a common side effect??? i took this once before, only for a month, but never noticed any side effects.
it's always like i'm pregnant. but i highly doubt that since last week was the only time we had unprotected sex (waited the first two weeks for it to take effect) but i totally feel bloated and pregnant!

I am going on Seasonal birth control but I wondered if I could start a week or so before my period and if it would stop me from having my next period?  I forgot to ask the doctor about this.  Also why do  the directions always say to start the pill on the Sunday after your period starts even if it starts on a Sunday?  Why can't we just pick any day?

Is anyone here taking Seasonal?  If yes, what is your experience?  I'm taking it because I don't want my period so often and I have bad cramps when I do and I hope the BC will change that.

My husband and I are planning to try to conceive in January. Currently I am on HBC (Demulen 30) and have been for a while. I've been on some sort of hormonal birth control for 8 years. I saw my doctor this morning for my yearly physical and he said I should be off HBC for three cycles before we try to conceive. However, I don't want to get pregnant in the meantime, are condoms my best option for now or is there something else? I don't know much about non-hormonal methods.

Also, he recommended I start taking prenatal vitamins now as well as folic acid. Is there anything else any of you lovely ladies would recommend I do?

Ok I'm a little worried. I am on my period and two days ago I went to bed with a tampon in like I usually do. When I woke up I felt a pain so I took my tampon out. When I took it out, it hurt also and after that I felt an itch, similar to when I had a YI. I haven't worn another tampon because I feel really irritated. I took and look down there to see if maybe I could see any visible irritation or something and when I did I saw these little umm bumps, I guess I would say. What could this be????

This may or may not have been posted here before.

I was browsing my favorite craft website the other night and stumbled across this:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=82588.0

They're crocheted cotton reusable tampons. I completely understand that there may be health concerns associated with this, and I'm not necessarily saying they're a good (or bad for that matter) idea. The thought intrigues me. It doesn't strike me as much different than a reusable sponge.

Just thought you ladies and gentlemen might be interested in checking them out. They're kind of neat.

(Personally, I've never tried it, but I'm not opposed.)

Is there anyway to get dried, already washed once, blood stains out of underwear?

I'm sure this question has been asked a dozen times before so I apologize for asking, but I'm a little worried and wasn't able to get in touch with my gyno today.

Depo and spotting )

other options for BC )

I appreciate any answers and sorry that this got so long! ^_^;

So, I have recently realized that I have been on birth control for over 5 years. Non stop. I am considering stopping it for a few months. Just to take a break, you know?
It just feels... wrong to be under the influence of these hormones for SUCH a long time. What is everyone's opinion on this?

Here are a few things to consider in my case:

I am already on a low-hormone pill.
I have a history of bad cramps. The pill helps a bit.
I have had one case of ovarian cysts (that ruptured and so I ended up having emergency surgery). The doctor told me that staying on birth control could help it from happening again, however I was already on birth control when it happened. So that confuses me a bit.

Any opinions would be appreciated :)

My mom has had her period for three weeks and it's showing no sign of stopping. She works construction and pulls 65 hours + a week, so she really has no time to see a doctor, and she has no idea what's going on. Any ideas ladies?

I am just about at the end of my rope, here. Over the past eleven months, I have had BV, a Yeast Infection, and the ultra-fun BV/YI combo. Finally, the symptoms of both seem to have eased off, but I'm still left with a, um, broken vagina, I think. It smells, not bad, but different than it did before all of this drama, and also... Well, it tastes strange. I know that's weird to say, but it's true! I guess I'm going to have to give you all the full story to get the help I need (and because I need to vent), so there may be a little TMI.

God, I cannot believe I just posted this. :/
