Should I go see a doctor?

Last night I thought I had another UTI. I had that gotta go feeling, so I drank a ton of water and went to sleep. During my last two UTIs, there was blood in my urine but when I woke up this morning there was none. My urine wasn't cloudy or smelly so I thought I didn't have one. Is it possible that by drinking a ton of water I could have stopped myself from having an infection? The only symptom I'm having now is back pain. I should note that during my last two UTIs, I had little to no pain whatsoever. Also, I just got over one a few weeks ago, and I noticed that after my first UTI I still felt the urge to pee frequently for a few weeks. So I'm wondering if what I'm feeling is similar to what I went through with my first infection.
Is there some sort of test I could get at the drug store? It's getting pretty pricey to see the doctor, but I will go if things get worse.
I'm also curious about seeing a urologist because of frequent UTIs. If any of you have seen one could you please tell me about your experience?
thanks!
