So, Wallgreens just switched my Birth Control to Zenchent 28 from Balziva 28.

They told me that the Balziva was discontinued. Anyone have any news on that?

Has anyone here taken Zenchent?

I have a GYN appointment in a week or two. I plan on bringing this issue up and the fact that I've been on 4 different kinds of pills in 6 months. I was perfectly happy on Yasmin, but since the insurance didn't cover it and the cash price went up to almost $60 a month...I needed something cheaper.

I posted all of the details here a few months back, but I can't find the entry...

Also, has anyone from the US ordered their BC online from Canada? I'm thinking if I can get the doc to get me a Yasmin script and consent to getting it filled there...I could save a LOT of money.
My sucky insurance doesn't even COVER brand name BC scripts. I hate Atena for that.

Alright, I know that silicone-based lube and silicone toys don't mix and I know that oil-based lubes and latex condoms don't mix. But what about silicon-based lube and latex condoms? Would the silicone degrade the latex?

Edit: And just out of curiousity, what exactly happens when oil-based lube and latex meet? I know it compromises the latex, but does it just make it more prone to breakage or does it turn it into some kind of chemical reaction-based goo?

How soon after having sex can one take a pregnancy test without compromising results?

Hello, VP.

I'll be switching from Dianette (my first ever pill, which has been fine as far as mood etc. go, and has certainly cleared my skin, but has also been causing me a frankly terrifying amount of hairloss) to Yasmin at the end of this cycle.

Irritatingly, I've never once needed to stack Dianette (or even use it for actual contraception), but now that I'm coming off it it's a different story: the current timing of my pill break week is going to put a serious damper on not one but two holidays in the next two months (one pretty much intended for sexytime, and the other a festival, where menstruation would be a fairly horrifying prospect).

Basically, I just need to have confirmed what I already know- that stacking a new pill would be a terrible idea.

Will I need to wait until after the three-month "test" period to try stacking at all?

Hey VPers! I was written a prescription for Gynazole-1 by my gyno last August. Fortunately, I haven't needed to fill it... until now. However, I was wondering if anyone knows how long do I have before the prescription itself expires? Like, how long after when it was written can I get it filled? I'm in New Jersey if that makes a difference...

Thanks y'all :)

A friend of mine has had a yeast infection, and used an over the counter product. She says she feels better now, but is concerned about having sex with her husband. When she brought the topic up (had never had one before and wasnt sure what it was) I had mentioned to her that if she and her husband had been having sex, he should ask the Dr because I believe its possible for men to catch a yeast infection and then reinfect their partner.

At the time she wasnt concerned because they hadnt had sex in a little while before her symptoms started. However, now that she has completed her over the counter treatment and is feeling better, she would like to have sex w. her husband but is worried about passing the yeast onto him. She used a 1 day treatment. Once her symptoms are gone is she considered *yeast free* or should she wait a few more days? I think now that shes feeling better shes terrified of having another infection..lol. Any advice for her?

Hey all, thanks for your help with my previous entry a little while ago. The prescription for the YI treatment was still good and I was able to get it filled. :)

Now I have a question that I was dumb and totally forgot to ask my pharmacist. I'm a NuvaRing user, and I don't really know how to go about using the Gynazole with my Ring in. I'm a Wednesday starter due to take it out in 3 days, and I'll get my period next Sunday. Can I insert/apply the Gynazole with my Ring in? Or should I wait until I take my ring out on Wednesday? (I'd really rather not do the latter, as my vag has been driving me INSANE for too long.)

Thanks again :)

Has anybody else found that they get more frequent yeast infections while on the NuvaRing?

I'm not 100% positive if the correlation exists for me, but it sure seems like it... :(

Thank you girls so much for the great responses to my previous question! I thought I'd ask another, because it concerns me just a tad...

I got four packs of free Ortho-Cyclen at the Health Department the other day. Three of the packs don't expire until March of next year, but the one I just started today says it expires in June of THIS year. I know this is a rather odd question, but would that mean it expires in the beginning of June or the end of June? And, if it were to expire at the beginning of June, would I just switch to the appropriate day in the next pack?
