Hey ladies!

So here's a background:

- I had been on Depo for just over a year, but I decided to go off of it and didn't go back for my March shot.
- the boyfriend and I have only had sex about two or three times out of paranoia since then, and we've used condoms perfectly each and every time.
- I've been bleeding on and off for the past month, since about a week after I missed my last shot, sometimes heavily.

The last couple of days my boobs have been quite sore.  If I happened to touch them or bump them they hurt.  I've also felt slightly bloated.  I'm thinking this is all due to my body reajusting to not being on Depo, but of course I'm mildly paranoid that I'm pregnant.

Advice?  I'm probably going to take a home test just for peace of mind.

Thanks!

Hey, I think this is where it's appropriate to post this. I have this weird bump kind of looks like a pimple and that's what I thought it was because I get pimples every now and then on my vagina it's not inside or anything, but I looked closer and it's an ingrown hair believe it or not, I have never had one before. I was wondering what I can do to get ride of it. Is there any cream that will help remove it that is safe for down there, or do I have to take tweezers and remove it myself or will it go away on its own. It's hurting kind of bad nothing I can't handle, but I don't want it to get worse.

Hi VPers,
I was wondering if I could get some help. I'm in kind of a bind right now with my birth control. I am going out of the country for two weeks and my doctor's office could not schedule me in until after my trip is over. They renewed my BC for one more month since I need to come in in May for a new prescription, but will not renew it again. The one pack they gave me will run out before I get back from my trip. So my question is...is it safe to buy it online? Does anyone know a reputable site? I don't want to buy the Yasmin and have it not be the right thing or be some kind of scam.

Has anyone ever done this? I'm not sure what else to do. I have already called my local Planned Parenthood and they do not carry Yasmin.

Thanks!

EDIT: I called PP in Orlando, where I will be before my Europe trip, and I have an appointment to meet with a nurse practitioner and buy Yasmin. Thanks for all of the help!

I'm thinking that I'm completely paranoid with this, but you lovely VPers have put me at ease before, so hopefully you can now :)

I switched to Nuva ring last month from OTC-lo, and didnt have a problem with it. I was on OTC for about a year exactly, and I never had a problem with my period, it was always either a day before my greens or a day after my greens. Basically, always on time, with the occasional one month really messed up cycle.

Well I took my ring out Sunday, and usually with my bc i would've been discharging slightly and all, expecting my period. But I've had nothing. No discharge AT ALL. I did have sex with my SO about 5 times this month, but when I was on bc, I had sex more often than that, but never had a problem with my period arriving on time.

Is it normal for your first period on new bc methods to start late? I'm worried my period will start when I have to insert my new ring. Should I still use my ring if my period starts? And also, I don't use pads, is it safe to use tampons with the ring? Silly me accidentally lost the guides that came with my ring, and I figured real women would have better insight than the ring website. Help my wandering thoughts?

Hi Everyone,

My husband & I are trying to conceive. We've found, though, that after he ejaculates, a lot of sperm seems to come out of my vagina. I've started trying to tilt my pelvis upwards to prevent this, but it's not really making a difference. Is this normal? We've always used condoms as our form of birth control, so I've never experienced this before. Thanks.

First, I want to quick thank everyone who replied to my last post. I'm thinking that the nuva ring will be really good for me and I have an appointment on Monday.

I've been doing a lot of research on the nuva ring, and I keep seeing that you should not take it if you have migraines. My question is, what exactly do they consider a migraine?
I get TERRIBLE migraines either right before or throughout the week of my period, to the point where I just want to cry [I have one right now, actually...I'm trying to just sleep it off, but I keep waking up].
I'm planning on talking to the doc about that, but I guess I just wanted some input beforehand.
Thanks!

This is my earlier post:
http://community.livejournal.com/vaginapagina/12899611.html

For those who need a quick summary: Had my period the 9th of March, last day I had sex was the 17th of March. All protected with a condom that didn't break or had any tears as far we both my boyfriend and I noticed. I went to the gyno and she said I pretty much didn't have to buy a pregnancy test as it'd be a waste of money.

Well, I bought one anyways because of my anxiety and I figured it'd help. I took it 24 days after I last had sex and it came up negative. Which of course I'm thrilled with. I have been on OTC-Lo since April 6th and I'm still getting used to it somewhat. I started the pill the week I would have gotten my period (if you count Sunday as the first day of the week), so it's been delayed. Just yesterday I started spotting brown discharge I normally would get at the beginning of my period, I'm not supposed to start it till next week. I've also been cramping since last week into this one, and now that the discharge has started my cramps have have kind of subsided.

So my questions are:

1.) Is this normal?
2.) Should I take another pregnancy test? I know 24 days is pretty good (if 19 is recommended) for a reliable pregnancy test, but I just want to double check.
3.) Also, I've been having this pain in my lower left calf, I didn't want to start freaking about it, but I thought it should mention it. It's not blinding pain, but it's noticeable. I've had something similar to it before, but because of the OTC-Lo, I'm kind of worried about it being a blood clot. How do I tell between a normal pain and a blood clot?

I'm sorry, I don't mean to pester or anything, just trying to keep the anxiety at bay or know what to do/how to act.

EDITED: Added question 3.

I just started the Nuvaring a couple of weeks ago, and I know it's normal, but is there anything one can do to make spotting more bearable? Or anyone else on the ring have an estimate of when the spotting stops? I've been spotting since I finished my period. It's rather annoying. I want to have sex, and know I can have sex while bleeding, but I'd be nice to have non-bloody sex too. You know, since that's why I got on HBC in the first place.

Otherwise, I love the Nuvaring! :D

I think I may have figured out what's going on, but I'm no expert and I didn't exactly know what to google for.

A couple of weeks I got a stomach virus. So basically, everything that went into my stomach got thrown back up. So I stopped taking my birth control pills until I got better. When I did, I had about a week's worth left. But at that point, since I stopped while I was sick, I started my period. Period ends. And I start taking the week's worth I had left. Well, stupid ol' me forgets to order a new pack, so I run out of my week's worth last Saturday. Don't worry, I'm coming up on my question....

After a few days of being off my pills I noticed today that there was a bit of blood on my panties. While I was taking a shower more blood came out like I was starting my period again, even though I just had one two weeks ago.

Is my body just confused about my messed up schedule, or is it something more?

Hey all you lovely people,

I checked the tagged entries under pregnancy and HBC and couldn't find what I was looking for, hope someone can help!

History - been on HBC for 7 years with no problems. Originally on microgynon, but swapped to cerazette (POP) 10 months ago due to a change in other medications. Since the first month of being on cerazette I've had no breakthrough bleeding at all, which I am assured is perfectly normal and I'm more than happy with it! 6 weeks ago I had to take a course of penicillin for tonsilitis. I am aware of the effect of antibiotics on HBC, and i started breakthrough bleeding, terrible cramps, sickness etc after 2 days of the start of antibiotics. I resumed sexual activity after finishing the antibiotics, and used condoms for the additional 7 days after (and a few more days - just to be sure).

The past 3 days I have been experiencing a gloopy blood stained discharge. Not regular bleeding, brown blood stained and very thick sticky secretions. I have never had something this thick before in 10 years of periods! Could this all be to do with the 10 days of the penicillin, even though it's 6 weeks ago? I had quite rough sex the day before i noticed this discharge, i wondered if it could have "knocked" something loose? It isn't at all painfull so I'm not worried about damage there.

On a different note, if I was worried and wanted to take a pregnancy test on HBC, when do you take it from? As I don't experience a "period" to be late, I don't know when it would be accurate from. I was guessing 2 or 3 weeks after intercourse, but I'd hate to take a test too early and to make false assumptions!

Thanks for your help!

Alright, I'm a bit of a lurker here, but I post every now and then.

My partner and I have been having sex since January and have used a few different kinds of condoms.  Anwhere from Durex's Pleasure Pack to Trojan Her Pleasure with Warm Sensations Lubricant.  Let me say this first that I have a latex allergy, HOWEVER, using condoms does not bother me.  Until recently, though I do think it's just the specific type of condoms they are.

We bought some Trojan-ENZ lubricated condoms a while back, and at first using them didn't bother me, but the more we used them, the more it started to burn, painfully burn.  To the point that we had to stop because it hurt me SO BAD.  I know that you can be allergic to the lube or the spermicide in the lube (whatever it's called, I don't recall), though why would I have a delayed reaction to it?  None of the other condoms hurt me.  So, a few nights ago, I went back to our usual Trojan Her Pleasure with Warm Sensations Lubricant, and there was no burning or pain whatsoever.

However, today, as I was doing just a normal check on my vulva and vagina in general, I noticed some bumps that resemble the blisters that I got on my hands the day I found out I was allergic to latex.  I did many searches and have not ruled out any kind of STD, but I think it's most unlikely.  They almost look like little cyst/blister type spots.  I am afraid that it is an STD, but I'm not entirely sure as of yet.  I do know that I will HAVE to go to the doctor for this.  And right below the opening to my vagina is a patch of dry skin that seems to be clustered into knots of dry skin.

If anymore description is needed, I will glady give it.  I would just like to have an idea on what this is before I go to the doctor.  I'm thinking that it's an allergic reaction to the Trojan-ENZ condoms, though I'm not certain.  I did have sex with someone recently without a condom who has been tested for STDs and STIs and didn't test positive for anything...if that is at all relevant, which I know it is.

So, I had my first Brazilian wax last Wednesday, and OW that hurt like a bitchy... and it was expensive. I want to avoid ever having to get one of those again... does anyone know if there's any brand of NAIR, or something of the sort, that you can use to remove pubic hair? Thanks!

(I don't know if this is the appropriate place to be posting, but it is about my vagina, kind of...)
