So I have this hypothesis that adding ginger powder or chili powder to normal lube could turn it into warming lube of a rather exciting nature. (My partner's body parts don't fare well with the sugary lubes, so we use surgilube - the stuff your gyno uses)

Has anyone tried this? Did it work? How much powder did you use? I figured I would ask before
accidentally burning important bits off.

So I'm faced with choosing Nuvaring or Yaz. I'm completely uncertain about what would be right for me.

I love the idea of sticking in the Nuvaring and forgetting about it for 3 weeks but not too crazy about having my partner possibly feel it during sex.

I am used to the pills though, I was on ortho tri cyclen for years.

I have acne prone skin and was wondering how each of these may affect me.

I am also prone to depression and have general anxiety disorder...how would they affect this?

I would love some opinions and personal thoughts on both Nuvaring and Yaz.

Thanks!

Howdy ladies!

i caught wind of a ring birth control study at Johns Hopkins, here in Baltimore, and i contacted them for more information. i emailed the coordinator and got a decent introductory email. Expandhere's the bulk of the email response i got )

so now, i'd like to know: what are your thoughts on this? would you use an annual ring if it makes it to regular production? do you have concerns about it? questions? are you for it being produced? give me your input. :D

ANY QUESTIONS ASKED HERE WILL BE RELAYED TO THE PEOPLE CONDUCTING THE STUDY.

*EDIT* would you folks like to see regular updates, once things get started? i planned on doing so in my personal journal, but i can cross post if enough people want to see it.

I'm on Celexa for depression. Would it be a good idea to be also taking ortho-lo? It doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I have an appointment with my doctor, but you guys/girls have been very helpful in the past and I'm just looking for some input.

What are some good places to have sex besides motel and home? Can't have it in my house because I'm not allowed to keep the door closed and I'm not allowed to travel to my boyfriend's apartment since he lives almost an hour away. Anyways hope I get some ideas on this. Thanks!

Please feel free to delete if this is posted wrong. Im kinda embarrased but idk how to cut. lol.

So. Apparently Ive had BV for the past few months. Ive been treated with both the Gel and Flagyl. It isnt seeming to help. My bf and I both enjoy sex alot. so. denying us sucks.

But its so embarrasing to do anything sexual. The smell and discharge is disgusting to me.

I cant go anywhere with out wet whipes to constantly clean myself.

Has flagyl worked for you girls?(all I hear is bad things about how it doesnt work for people.) Have they given you any other treatment that seemed to work?

Mirena

I keep seeing the Mirena commercial on TV and I was curious about it so I checked it out. However they say that Mirena is only appropriate for women who have already had at least one child.

I was wondering if anyone knew why having gone through pregnancy at least once would matter in its effectiveness.

So this past week my vag has been kinda "off". Kinda like (what i'm guesing is, since I've never had one) a yeast infection-y type discharge. I figured cause I was on antibiotics. But i'm off, and now its getting better. However, NOW, it seems that i have a little cut, right at the top where my Labia major meet.. (i) <---kinda were the dot on the I is. AND i have a similar little cut kinda around my anus. I dont know where they came from, why I have them, but its the worst place to have these cuts! They won't heal! Everytime I wipe, I seem to "open" the little cut again. What is going on?! Has anyone had this before and how do I get it away?!?!

Thanks so much ladies.

Itchy!

First of all, I'd like to reiderate how great this community is.  Having an open environment to comfortably talk about feminine health problems is amazing.  Now onto my actual query:  I've been having itchy problems for about a month.  I'm not having sex at all right now, so an STI is very unlikely.  The last partner I was with had been tested, as did I (just to be safe) and all was well. There's no discharge of any kind, no lumps, bumps or abnormal skin anomalies.   Any ideas of what might cause this?  It's *really* frustrating, and I wish I knew what to do about it.  One of my friends suggested it's just pubic hair rubbing the wrong way, but, well, I've had pubic hair for *many* years now and this itching only for the last month.  The only time it really goes away is for the first hour after I've gotten out of the bath.  Might this indicate some kind of dryness issue?  Thanks in advance for any advice or tips!

I'm new to HBC. I was just prescribed Sprintec today.

Question about the placebo pills:

If my period only lasts 3 days, do I still take the placebo pills for 7 days?

Am I still completey protected when I take the placebo pills?

Hey Ladies,

So Im having a mini freak out. Earlier I noticed these two little red bumps right above my vaginal lip opening. They hurt when I touch them but that's about it. I don't know if I'm overreacting or not! I tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac! Thanks!!

EDIT: I went to the doctor today to get tested for STDs anyways. I had her look at the bump and she cultured it. She said that more than likely it wasn't anything to be worried about and that it would probably go away in a few days. She thinks it is ingrown hair and since I don't have any other symptoms or bumps inside or outside of my vagina, I shouldn't even think about it. I won't know till next week and they said if I don't hear from them then it's good news.

Hi everyone! I come seeking answers, and I hope you all can help me. I have not had a period since December 19th. I am usually pretty regular with 33 day cycles, but I am a bit worried. I have never just skipped a period ever, even when I was TTC. I absolutely cannot be pregnant because I have not had sex in a year. This month has been pretty stressful with the one year anniversery of my husbands death. I recently have flown to and from California and had a job interview. I get cramps, small ones, but nothing yet.

I have seen WAY too many Lifetime movies where women can't remember having sex and then getting pregnant. Logically, I know this is not true, but still in the back of my mind it's there somewhere. What do you think is going on?

I have a kind of odd situation and I am curious if anyone else has experienced the same thing or heard of this. Since the birth of my second child 10 months ago I have had pain in my groin area that wakes me from my sleep between 3 and 5 times a week. The pain is strong and constant and starts at my pubic bone, radiating through my vulva and down onto my thighs and lower buttocks. This only happens at night and does not go away until I am awake and moving around. I lose a lot of sleep because of this pain. It is not triggered by sex and there is not skin irritation. It always happens if I wear underwear (which means I don't wear it 98% of the time), but also happens when I am not wearing underwear or restrictive clothing. I have had 2 vaginal births without major complications. I did have an upward tear into my clitoral hood with my first birth that was repaired almost two years ago with surgery.

I tried to ignore this problem for months because it just doesn't make sense, but I can't have pain like this indefinitely so I saw my OBGYN who is also perplexed. She ordered a pelvic x ray that showed degeneration of my pubic symphysis, which was expected because I have had a moderate to severe case of SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubicpain.htm) in both of my pregnancies. The next step is a pelvic ultrasound and then a visit with a vulvar specialist. When I google my symptoms vuvlodynia pops up, but I don't think that is my problem because I have no problem wearing jeans or other clothing and there is no skin irritation.

Any ideas as to what this could be? Obviously I am going to explore this with my doctor, but she is as perplexed as I am and I *really* want to figure this out and get it treated.

Hey gals! I'm new here but have been lurking for a while. I checked through the tags and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I figured I'd ask you, since you are all oh-so-knowledgeable.

I've been trying to read up on parsley tea for period induction and I haven't been able to find anything where it wasn't being used to speed up a late period.
My deal is that I'm planning on visiting my boyfriend (FWB, maybe?) over spring break, and since my period is usually very regular, that should be just about the time it's going to come. I'm not on any BC just yet (we are careful with condoms). I was wondering if it was safe to drink parsley tea to start my period the week before I visit, so I don't have to worry about stopping any sex that might happen (neither of us are interested in period sex as of now).

So basically, is parsley tea strictly for speeding up a late period, or can it be used to start your period early as well? Also, any bad side effects that I should watch out for?

Thanks! <3
