Alright my superstars, I've been researching and nothing has answered my question. :/

My boyfriend and I just started having sex after we hit the four year marker, and we're both liking it quite a bit. The thing is (and I'm definitely not complaining here, so please don't take it that way) is that we have a bit of trouble when it comes to certain positions. He falls into the "average" category of penis size, and when we try to, well, try, new positions we have a little bit of trouble with positioning and basically getting him inside of me. The basic positions are covered (missionary, girl on top, guy on top, sitting, me laying on the bed with him standing at the side, etc) but I was looking into some deeper penetrative positions this evening and we had some trouble. It seemed like no matter what way I would move or contort my body, he just couldn't find a comfortable position to get himself inside of me.

He is definitely sure that he was fully erect, we've tried pillows, moving around and varying the positions, it just seems like we're both doing something wrong. Are there any tips that you can give or positions you can suggest for men with average/notsolarge penises? It's frustrating to be so in the mood and have everything going right and be all stoked about positions (which say they're for men with very under average size) and not be able to do them. I'm glad my boyfriend is happy enough to try whatever, I'd just like to get something new and interesting to work out, you know?

Thanks in advance, and if there is something in the vulvapedia or anywhere else that I missed, feel free to let me know, I appreciate all the insight I can get. :]

I don't understand the whole concept of faking an orgasm or why it's necessary .if a guy keeps going you can't just tell him "that's enough" or tell him to cum so you can end the sex session, is sex always supposed to end with an orgasm or something?? I never had to fake one because the guy would always cum before me anyway and then we'd do something else like watch tv afterwards...

hello everyone this is just a question to see if i can get pregnant. I had my period the 4th of this month and my cycle is 28-32 days. I was counting days and I realized that I was ovulating yesterday and today. ( i had some cramps and lower back pains) I havent had sex but on friday of this week and saturday ( being the 25th and 26th, I will be having sex. I wanted to know what are the chances of me getting pregnant now? i wont still be ovulating right?

another question i have is, how do you use that jelly like spermicide, do you just stick it into your vagina? can it cause you an infection?

thank you

Currently I'm 3 weeks late for my period.  I took a pregnancy test at home last week and it was negative.

I currently have an appointment tomorrow for blood work, and to see my gyno next Monday.

First off, I'm not looking to be pregnant.  I have never had sex without a condom, I'm in a monogamous relationship.  I was also on the pill until the last 3 months due to migraines.  We never had a condom slip or break.  We have been using condoms correctly, and his ejaculate/pre-cum and what not has not touch the outside of my vagina that I'm aware of.

I have been under stress, but I'm ALWAYS under alot of stress.  It's never effected my period before.

I have changed my diet.  I am drinking nothing but tea and water (no sugar added), but I don't think that is significant enough to kill my very regular menstrual cycle.

So what gives?  Have any of you been in this situation?  Any words of wisdom?

My doctor's office said they want to check my gland that causes my periods to come about.  Does anyone know what this test is?

I know this has been covered before, but I was looking to come at it from a slightly different angle... if this is straying too far from vaginal health, etc, and more into sex and relationship territory then please delete, but I know you guys always give such good advice that I wanted to ask you first :-)

I've been on Citalopram (Celexa in the US) since October, taking 20mg a day. While I'm not wild about the idea of being on antidepressants I have to admit it's helped me a lot with my depression and anxiety. However. The only side effect is difficulty/impossibility reaching orgasm. When I masturbate it takes me maybe 2 or 3 times as long to get there as it used to, which makes me kind of sore. And, it turns out, I'm finding it impossible so far to orgasm during sex.

I've been seeing a new person for a few weeks now and we've had sex (and/or oral sex and manual sex and all that shebang) on five seperate occasions so far. I really like him, and he turns me on like crazy and really knows what he's doing but - I just haven't come yet. This is almost more an issue for him than me, I think: we talked about it last time and I told him it was a side effect of the drugs I'm on and that I really like him and that I REALLY like sleeping with him, but he just seemed disappointed and concerned that he isn't making me come. I do know that this is still a very new relationship and it takes time to get to know each other and feel comfortable but honestly, I'm pretty convinced I'd have been orgasming all over the place if not for these pills.

So my questions are really twofold: first, is there anything I can do to make it easier for me to orgasm, apart from stopping/switching meds which I don't feel is worth it because of how well Citalopram has worked otherwise? And if not, how can I convince the boy that I want to keep sleeping with him and that, although it would be amazing for me to have an orgasm, it's still very nice indeed for me just to be with him and feel good and make him feel good as well?

Any advice appreciated!

Hello VPers! Today the LA Times ran an article in the Health section about the increasing frequency of precocious puberty. I've noticed several posts during my time as a member here asking questions about this same subject, so I thought some of you might appreciate my sharing the article here.

The original can be found here, but the LA Times, like so many other newspaper websites, makes their articles unavailable online after a few days or weeks, so I'll also include the full text below a cut.

UTI

Ahh I think I have another UTI. This is my second one. My first was in November. I have taken all the precautions that I know of (peeing right after any sort of sex, drinking lots of fluids including cranberry juice, wiping front-to-back (which is incredibly awkward, by the way...), wearing cotton underwear, not rubbing poo all over my urethral opening, etc). But yesterday morning my boyfriend remarked on the peculiar smell of my urine, and I felt the uncomfortable burning and the dreaded urge-to-pee-right-after-I-just-peed, and I dashed to the kitchen for some cranberry juice.

This makes me sad. I don't like UTIs. I don't like taking the antibiotics, and I don't like my pee turning flourescent orange, and I don't like it when my bladder hurts. I have been drinking lotsa water and juice for the past 2 days, hoping to nip it in the bud, and the symptoms have definitely stopped increasing, but haven't gone away.

Does this mean that I'm forevermore -prone- to getting these things? 2 in 3 months, despite trying really hard to prevent it?! It makes me not want to have sex anymore. I was really hoping the first would be my one-and-only! But again 2 months later?! Arghhshsdhfhghdkfj.

I don't know what I'm asking, really. Any other prevention techniques maybe? Any tricks to end early symptoms? Any other stories of frustration with urethrae?

Hi all VPers, a couple of question i want to ask.

1. when people discribe that their nipples feel pricky during pregnancy, does it mean having sharp pain in their nipples? just curious =)

2. And also, regaring vagina discharge, is it normal to have discharge a few days before period starts? because i read about that and it mention that discharge is normall before ovulation or when ovulation is approaching. After ovulation, the vagina will have a "dry" feeling. what really does "dry" means?

Thanks =)
