I was giving my bf head earlier and he came in my mouth, about 15-20 minutes I got a terrible stomach ache and got abit crampy.  This was the second time I've swallowed, I still feel abit crappy.  Is this normal ish?

Hello, VP! So, I've noticed that lots of women slightly older than me have it figured out when it comes to underwear. When I was in high school, one of the band moms gave me a pair of some pretty, stretchy cotton/lace panties that looked like they came from a department store when I ruined mine while on my period just before a band trip. All my other underwear has fallen apart in the machine; not those! It's lasted YEARS! I'm the type of girl that buys the 6 pack fruit of the loom drawers and has to toss them within a few months.

So, where does one buy these cute, magical, classy, take-everything-you-throw underpants?! If it helps, my preferred style is bikini. Thanks so much!

Diva Cups at Whole Foods?

Hey VP-ers!
 I would have posted this to menstrual_cups but I know we're a little more active so maybe I'd be able to get an answer before I left to go to work in a bit (and thus possibly get a cup on the way there). So anyways...

Did anyone get their Diva Cup at Whole Foods? How much was it and did you have trouble finding it? I would have liked to order one from a site that had them for under $20 since I'm playing the broke college kid right now. BUT--yea, my period kind of snuck up on me (literally, I totally forgot I was supposed to get it today/this weekend) and I have a horse show all day tomorrow!

Tight light tan colored pants + minimal and usually gross "bathroom" (port-a-john) facilities + my period = potential embarrassing tragedy

I'm so freaked. I don't want to risk tampons/pads leaking (I have a ParaGard IUD and the typical crazy periods that entails) and I've been wanting to try a DivaCup for a while.
So help? If Whole Foods doesn't have them where else should I try (I'm in Philadelphia so we have a pretty decent variety of stores for the most part).  Words of comfort/wisdom? CAN I find a DivaCup somewhere in this city and figure out how to use it without embarrassing leakage/pulling out my IUD in less than 24 hours? The adventure begins...

Drastic change in diet, changes period?

(I'm asking for my sister because she doesn't have internet where she lives)

My sister was a vegetarian for about 4 years.  Her period was normal and only lasted 3 days. 
About two months ago she started eating meat again, now she's had two periods in this month and more pain like when she was younger.  When she started eating meat again she dropped 20 pounds as well.

(She's 24, and had her period for 11 years.  We both had similar problems when we were younger, heaviness, cramps, the whole nine yards.  She's also not on the pill)

So is there a possibility that her food changes might have messed her up this month?

hey everybody,

so i'm new here, but i thought it would be the best place to ask people.

here's the situation: i live away from home for college purposes, and i don't have my own gyno. i go to a free clinic once a year for pap, etc. my boy lives at home, and he came to visit for a week. right after he left, i got my period. as soon as that was done (a couple days ago), my downstairs has been really dry (it almost never is), itchy in a few places, and now, really really effing sore. i've been all cleaning in the shower and stuff, and i trimmed up my pubes a couple days ago, and i was wondering what everyone thought. it seems to get better in the shower, and feels better after, so i was thinking maybe just dryness. i don't know. opinions?

Hi all,

I'm new here, but I'm led here by a rather odd problem I've been having lately. I'd see a doctor, but I really have no idea what to tell the doctor the problem IS, and I'm hoping someone here could help me clarify it before I go.

Does anyone have even the slightest idea what I'm talking about here, what it might be and how to fix the problem?

EDIT: Temporary relief! I applyied arnica cream to that spot, and no more pain! The developing BV or yeast infection from the antibiotics is getting more uncomfortable though so I'm just going to see a doctor. I could try treating it as a yeast infection and have it be BV and unresponsive, so it's easier just to see the doctor. Still accepting your thoughts on what the problem might be though. Thanks!

frolicnaked's recent post on a sex toy party she attended brought up something for me that I've been thinking about a fair amount lately. I recently (by which I mean: within the past week or so) started watching porn for the first time in my life. First thought: porn is kind of awesome and it's lame that it took me twenty years to discover that. Second thought: there's a lot of stuff in most mainstream porn that I am not. okay. with.

Some of this is just personal preference. "Cream pie" shots? Not for me. Moaning? +1. But here I'm thinking specifically about porn from a sort of queer feminist point of view that has me really considering what sorts of porn I consider "ethical" and what sorts of porn I want to support by viewing. I can't decide if it's really sexy or super-unsexy to be watching porn trying to figure out a paper to write on the topic.

It's been a little while since we've had a particularly note-worthy (or tag-worthy) discussion about porn here. I'm interested in what, if anything, makes you think "the is something that I specifically do not want to support" or "this is something that I specifically want to support".

Hello again! I posted a few days ago about my first gyno appointment worries. But I have another issue. I was filling out some of the paperwork and some of the questions I don't want my mom to know the answers to. (ie are you sexually active etc) My question is...what do I do about that? She's taking me to my appointment and I'm paranoid about her seeing the paperwork. Do I lie on the paper and as soon as I get alone with the doctor tell them what I had to do? Or will that seriously piss them off and I should just take the risk?

So I took my first placebo pill (i'm taking lutera) yesterday and I noticed a tiny bit of pink when i wiped. today I noticed there was more blood, but still lighter then my normal period. Is this my period? Sorry if its a stupid question. I'm just not sure if this is breakthrough bleeding or actually my period.

Old blood after fingering.

The other night I was fingered more roughly than usual. It didn't hurt or anything, but I bled. Not red blood, but old brown blood. Some of it was kind of gooey. Where did this come from?
