Alright, I'm sorry to keep posting about the same issue but it's just not getting better. I am still having a ton of pain in my vagina. It even hurts just to touch. it's like at the bottom of the opening and it feels like the muscle there is super tight. like it contracted and never relaxed. Even trying to get a finger in nearly makes me cry. It's been two weeks since I last had sex and I took my nuvaring out so I thought that time would make it go away. I have an appointment to see a doctor on tuesday. I'm relaxed with my boyfriend and I'm not even thinking about it when we start fooling around since I'm so pleasantly distracted, so I'm pretty sure it's not a psychological thing where because I'm afraid it's going to hurt I get tense. If anything I'm convinced that each time is going to be the time where it doesn't hurt anymore. I'm very well lubricated and we're using extra just for good measure but that one spot is just really painful to have any pressure on. any idea what the deal is?

Depo Woes

I've been on depo for a few years now, with a couple breaks when I tried other BC. Lately I have noticed that I have absolutely no libido, just none. I would rather clean the toilet than have sex. This is in part because (and I think this may have something to do with the dryness depo causes) the fact that sex has become painful. It feels like I am being stabbed.
I have been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years and I hate that he feels he has to bargain with me for sex. I don't really know what I'm looking for here, I just sort of needed a place to vent. I'm pretty sure that this will be my last shot because of all the trouble it's giving me.
I would really love to get Essure, but because I am only 22 and living in a backwards state where I am considered too stupid to know what I actually want to do with my own life, it's pretty much out of the question.
Any ideas? Recommendations? (Besides getting off this crap, anyway.)

hello all! i looked through the memories a bit but i guess i'm hoping for more of a specific answer.

i've been on ortho tri-cyclen lo for almost exactly a year to the day. it's been good so far for the most part. i definitely became more emotional but the biggest problem is that i have no interest in sex anymore. i mean mentally i'll kind of want it, but i just don't get horny anymore! at all! i used to be a freakin horn dog so this has been very upsetting. and it's not only a mental thing. i feel like physically i'm not even responding anymore. i can have an orgasm if my bf really works at it but...it's completely different from how i used to be. yeah, it really really sucks. i guess i have a few questions

i'll be going back home overseas for a little over a month and i'm thinking about quitting the pill for this period of time just to see how i feel. then when i get back to the states i might want to start it again. so first off, how does one quit the pill? do i just stop taking it or should i wait until my placebo week?

and is this in any way bad for me? to stop it and then start it again only a month later? am i just going to be throwing my body completely out of wack?

and in terms of birth control, would anyone be willing to tell me their experiences with any other brands of pills? basically is anyone on a pill that hasn't killed their sex drive? i'm open to suggestions haha. i have to admit, i'm kind of squeamish and for some reason the idea of an iud or nuvaring don't really appeal to me. and i know everyone responds to things differently but i've had too many friends go through extreme side effects with the shot and yasmin. thanks everyone!

i've been on yasmin for about 3 months. ive never missed a pill. i usually take it within the same hour every night. before i started using the pill my periods were short, i would start thursday night, and usually finish sat. but now, i've noticed that my periods are super super light and really really short. i'm on it right now. today i woke up and had no blood on my pad, i peed and wwhen i wiped blood came on it. am i pregnant? i've only had sex twice without a condom. once about a month ago.. and the other time last week. he swears he didnt cum in me. both times i took my pill a couple of hours later than usual. whats up with my period? oh i did have som cramping, if that changes anything. thanks everyone!

Just wondering if tampons have an expiration date? I bought a pack of tampons before I found out I was pregnant, now my son is two months and AF decided that we needed to catch up (: I looked on the box to see if I could find one but I can't, are they safe to use now?

Left arm tinglies

I've been on birth control pills for about ten years, most recently lo-orval. I have had very good blood pressure my entire life, and it's still good on a consistent basis (ranging from 90/60 to 110/70).

I do smoke - on average about 3-5 cigarettes a day. I drink alcohol recreationally on a weekly basis.

For the past two days, my left arm has felt sporadically tingly and a tiny bit cool. The muscles on the left side of my neck also feel a little tight. I am chalking it up to overuse of computers (my job) and repetitive motion. I do have RSI in my right wrist, but I have never had trouble with my left arm.

However, I wondered if any VPers have ever experienced a similar sensation in case it's a symptom of spiking blood pressure. Can that happen very suddenly? Should I go to the ER if it persists?

[EDIT]: I had my blood pressure taken here on campus. It's fine - must be muscular overuse. Thanks anyway guys!

hemoroids?

OK so I was at the gym this morning and something felt a little wet down there, but like further back near my bum.  It was uncomfortable and stinging quite a bit cause I was walking on the treadmill and we all know that friction and wetness does not feel good.  I wrote it off as being sweat or maybe some discharge from my vagina that had worked its way back there.  When I was in the shower I washed back there and it stung when the water hit it, which stung more than normal but like I said I HAVE had dampness back there before when working out from sweat and all.  I figured the stinging was just the water hitting skin that had been irritated from being damp while being active.

But later as I was getting my things together I noticed my panties had blood on them, not a lot, just enough to stain my panties of course and freak me out.  I don't get a period with my birth control pills and it was all toward the back of my panties.  What was that?  I've never had hemoroids but that was my first thought.  I did have a rather larger than normal bowel movement yesterday but I did not strain at all nor did it hurt at all.  This was about 3 hours ago and there had been no blood since.   I just had a bowel movement, granted it was somewhat softer than usual but it did not hurt at all and there was no blood in the toilet nor when I wiped.  I checked things out with a mirror as best I could but everything looked as it should, and my actual anus doesn't hurt, just the skin like between my butt cheeks where I guess the blood sat for a bit and made it a bit raw down there, but as I was checking things out I pushed on my anus a bit and that didn't hurt at all.  I put some Desitin on the raw area since its all I have in the house.  Does this sound like hemoroids, or something else?  I'm not TOO worried since I've felt ok since, but finding unexplained blood on your panties is never a joyous occasion.

the other night he tried going slower for me (& i'm talking super super slow) & it still hurt. everytime it feels like he's going too deep & i can feel it in my bellybutton. is he hitting my cervix? so we stop & the mood is set off. also, if we're going at a steady pace, the opening of my vagina feels like it's burning or stinging, like too much friction. could it be the type of condom? not enough lube?

i've read other stories about vaginal dryness, YI's ect, but i'm not sure what it could be. all in all he could just be too big for me (about 7.5 inches erect) or i'm just not used to it. i've never orgasmed, or felt any sort of pleasure. i might not be relaxed or i might feel pressured to make noise & act like i'm enjoying it. this very well could be an emotional thing, however i can't even insert my fingers up there without it hurting. i've also been with female lovers who were unable to get me off. i can get myself off, but only by stimulating the clitoris. i've never tried toys, the only other idea i had was the shower head (which always works instantly). i almost feel like it's impossible for me to let someone else pleasure me if i'm not doing it myself. maybe i'm so used to myself, no one else can do it? i've tried telling him tips or tricks, but nothing. he has managed to get me excited during oral though, which is the only time i orgasm with any lovers.

Question about vagina insert...thingies.

Heya all (I have to mention how much I've learned from this community! Every day I learn something here!)
I've seen mention of ladies putting Acidophidalus (sp) yogurt up their pooties to help with YI. They mention you can buy some kind of insert from the pharmacy, but I checked, and they didn't have one at the one near me.
My BIG question is: What the heck is that insert thingy called? Applicator? And do they make them kind of small (like Monistat applicators), because I have a ridiculously small, unpleasantly sensitive opening..
Going to the pharmacy and saying "Do you have a vaginal insert thingy to put yogurt up my pooty" sounds a tad odd.

so i went to planned parenthood almost exactly a month ago for a regular check up and to get some new birth control.

when i got home from work today there was a message from the gyno who examined me saying to give her a call back because she needed to discuss something with me...

as far as pregnancy and stds go, they get those test results back in a couple days to a week right? it wouldnt be a month later that she would be calling me to tell me something along those lines, would she? do they call you to remind you its time to refill your birth control because i only got a months supply and im due to go get it within the week...

the office is closed until monday so i have the whole weekend to worry!
