Acetaminophen

Hey ladies,

Today at the first sign of cramping, I took 3 ibuprophen. They haven't helped...the only other thing we have in the house is Excedrin Tension Headache medicine.

I've read that acetaminophin blocks pain impulses. Is there anything wrong with just blocking the impulses rather than trying to stop the pain?

I guess i'm wondering if I should just take more ibuprophen, or if I should try this tension headache stuff...

edit: Thanks everyone for giving me your opinions and advice. My mom gave me half a Percocet and that knocked out all of the pain.
However, I am still wondering what I asked before .....Is there anything wrong with just blocking the pain impulses?

Hello, I'm writing for a friend of mine to see if anyone had information about the Northland Family Planning Center, more specifically the one on Ford Rd. What we really need to know are the business hours as it doesn't have them anywhere on their website. Other than that if anyone has any experience with that facility good or bad we'd love to hear it! Painful intercourse

I am going to my doctor for my annual exam (hooray) lol. I am going to ask her this too but I figured I'd ask here as well.

Whenever My Boyfriend and I have sex I have noticed it hurts. It didn't use to. Now I find if he goes int oo far I am in pain. He'd gone in that far before and it didn't hurt. Also it feels like my whole vagina is cramping up when he's in there and it's alot more sensitive and tender than normal. I wonder whats changed to make it do that. The last pregnancy test I took came out negative. Also I have noticed little changes since my doctor switched my B/C to Cyclessa. Could it be a birth control thing?

painful intercourse and itching

a few days ago I noticed a slightly itchy feeling on my vulva. more than anything else it heightened my sensitivity in a good way. it lasted about three days then it went away as of yesterday. the past few times (meaning from today to 2 days ago) my boyfriend and I have tried to have sex it hurts for him to insert himself all the way in me. it doesn't hurt if he uses a finger though. I checked out a few websites (including the memories) thinking that it may be my first yeast infection, but from what I found, I don't really have the symptoms. the itching isn't unbearable, there's no change in discharge or smell. plus the itching cleared up on its own.

should I ask a doctor about this? or wait and see if my vagina just needs a break from sex?

HPV.

So during my freshman year of college losing my virginity resulted contracting HPV.YUCK. But oh well I have to deal with it. I have no signs what so ever, no warts, etc. About 7 months ago I had my anual at my Univ's hospital. The gyno there scraped cells off and determined that I have HPV. She basically told me NOTHING. She said dont have unprotected sex, just let it go away, it usual does, and if it doesn't it might turn into cancer. and come back for a check up in 6th months. Can anyone tell me more about what I have, it actually does usually go away in 6th months, if it comes back, etc. how likely is it that i will get cervical cancer? Also, now that it is summer I have different insurance at a hospital back home where i do not have a regular gyno. So i need to make my 6 month check up, but obviously it can't be with the same doctor that I had my original diagnosis with, so what do I do? I would rather not call the secretary at my hospital now and blattenly tell her i have HPV and need to come in for a 6 month check up for it...what do i do?

Thanks for any help! and i'm sorry I am so uninformed about this, i did as much research online as i could when i found out, but my doctor was so incredibly unhelpful that i didn't really have anyone to ask questions to.

Irregular period & spotting, due to Seasonale

Sorry if this is commonly asked/talked about, I just joined today.

I've been on Seasonale for two years and I've never had any problems (except for when I first started)
I'm not supposed to get my period for like another two and a half weeks. And all of a sudden it just like SHOWS UP this morning. I'm pissed off because I really would rather not have it right now.

The thing that's making me worry is that it's not like I'm just spotting a little bit (which happens once in a while, and goes away after a few hours or after a day) I'm like ON MY FUCKING PERIOD. Which is rediculous because this isn't supposed to happen.

What do I do? What's wrong with me? I've been taking my pill like clockwork. Should I be worrying?
I'M SO MAD RIGHT NOW. My own birth control betrayed me. I guess there are worse ways it could betray me. BUT STILL.

My gynocologist's office is closed until Monday morning, otherwise I'd call.

Mo' post-laparoscopy Questions

I'm in my 2nd week of healing from my laparoscopy from having an ovarian cyst hauled out and everything seems okay except for three questions:

1. If anyone else here has had it how long after did you wait before resuming sexual relations again...and I mean like masturbating etc+pv sex etc.

2. I've been having brownish discharge since and it's been light and brown, but as of today has become pinkish in low amounts...I may have some breakthru spotting due to my on-coming (next week) period but was curious as for how long it lasted for anyone else.

3. Should I be able to resume using tampons or should I just holler at my doctor with all these questions?

I use Venus Vibrance to shave my legs and bikini area and I either get bumps or razor burn. Can anyone recommend anything better? I saw Veet in the store but have not heard anything about it or anything.
