I have a skin-tag on my vulva, and due to what I presume is rubbing underwear, it's getting a bit sore and swollen.

The question I put to you ladies, is where do I go to get it removed? It's not too close to the labia, but it's definitely on my genital area.

How normal is it that someone on BCPs could spot for one day in their placebo week and not bleed at all aside from that? Have I missed a period? Should I be worried about being pregnant or do irregularities like that happen on the pill? I'm just wondering if I should jump to conclusions and get myself tested.

Thanks, women.

Ok so last night I had sex. Without a condom. It was more of a drunken, i havent had any in a while now, lets just fuck thing. Therefore yes I was stupid & didn't use a condom. I am on Yasmin. I just started my placebo week on Friday, so I know I am still protected, but I'm worried because I havent been taking it EXACTLY on time. Its like a 3 hour window. I'm just kind of worried because I have had sex once without a condom(bfore i was on BC). Other than that everytime i have ALWAYS used a condom & my pill.

Also, my friend last night wound up in the same situation I did, thankfully hers was with a guy she's been "seeing" for a while now. She is not on any BC at all & they didnt use a condom either.

I have Plan B in my room that I got a few months ago for a just in case I ever need it or someone does, from planned parenthood.
I'm thinking of just letting my friend take it if she wants to, obviously we will talk about things. I know you can get pregnant while being on the pill. My cousin has two "pill babies". I'm just thinking my friend should take the Plan B because she has nothing & at least i've been taking my pills.

I just need some input! Thanks girls.

Is hair in the butt crack abnormal?
It's an extension of pubic hair, I guess.

I have 2 questions..

1. Sometimes I just get very itchy down there but it's not a yeast infection or anything. what should i do just to help the itch?

2. the question probably should not be posted here, but i wasn't sure where else to ask. on my stomach i get this splotchy vertical line on my stomach that never tans. it's especially annoying in the summer because even when it tans a little, it's never as much as the rest of my stomach. it's usually drier there also. does anyone know what this could be?

I recently discovered the wonders of the electric toothbrush. Unfortunately, I came across something on the internet that said using this as a vibrator will destroy tissues and nerve endings. Also it said,it will be much harder to orgasm without a vibrator if you use the toothbrush.

Anyone have any experience or more information? Should I stop using the toothbrush?

Okay....This is cross posted....

So for a few days now, yeah about two, I've been having brown/blood spotted discharge.. And I've been really scared, because I just recently became sexually active...

The thing is though, I've only had sex once, it's only been two weeks since I had sex, and the last day of my period was when I had sex. We used protection, and I read somewhere that the latex of the condom can irritate the vagina, so I was thinking maybe it's cleaning itsself out...? Or, I don't know... But I'm really scared.

But yes....My boyfriend and I are both really really careful, and we used a condom, and it was both our first time....

But I'm really freaked out because of this brown/blood spotted discharge...

Another reason why I am skeptical about being pregnant or whatever is because I haven't had any of the symptoms of a pregnancy at all.... My breasts aren't sore, I haven't had an upset stomach, I haven't been light headed (aside from an increase on medicine for Anxiety, but I went back to my normal dosage, and that went away in like, a day...) Umm...I haven't thrown up, or had an increase or decrease in weight or eating habits.....

But the discharge is thickish, smells and tastes bad, and is brown, with some blood clotty type things... And every time I've urinated it's been there.... This has happened in the past, but DEFINITELY not as profusely as now...What should I do? Any suggestions?

What's wrong with me?

Ugh I feel so dumb making this post right now so bear with me. For background purposes I've been on ortho-tri cyclen for four years now and have switched to tri-nessa (generic form of the same) a few months ago. Ever since I got a cell phone with an alarm I haven't missed a pill by more than 30 min. to an hour. That was about two years ago at least. So tonight of course I forget that I haven't gone to the pharmacy to pick up my new pack to start tonight and I fall asleep and wake up 15 minutes after it has closed. Now I've never missed my sunday start pill. Obviously I'm going to get it tomorrow, but as far as being protected, how long until I am again? A week? Or the whole month? I am so frustrated right now! Anywho this last bit is just more personal opinion than fact but, when all you pill users out there miss a pill, do you just use condoms for the next 7 days/month or do you abstain? That obviously goes for those who don't normally use condoms in conjunction with the pill. As far as going another day without my pill I'm not too concerned about pregnancy because I haven't had sex since last sunday at the most recent. Thanks ladies for your patience with my silliness!

I was wondering what sorts of pain and symptoms aren't normal during your period? I suffer from what I would almost describe as 'excruciating' cramps. I can do nothing but lay down, sitting up or (heaven forbid, walking) are feats. It feels like I am being punched in the stomach, and I often cry. I have a high pain tolerance, so when I cry over pain you know it hurts. I sweat profusely and get spasming clenches in my gut, almost like what a pregnant woman would describe as contractions.

Is this normal? Could something be going on?

Right now I’m on Alesse for birth control, but I don’t like it all that much. I asked my doctor about switching, and got a prescription for the Nuva Ring. However, I wasn’t able to pick up my prescription today, which is the first day that I’m suppose to start a new pack of Alesse. From what I understand, I was supposed to start the Ring today, but I can’t get my prescription until tomorrow. If I put it in as soon as I get my prescription filled, would that be alright? Or should I just start my extra pack of Alesse that I have? What sort of consequences will there be if I put the Ring in late?

On Thursday, I got a Brazlian Wax for the first time. It was actually much less scary than I had imagined it. Late Friday night, my boyfriend came back into town and we had several hours of energetic sex. All seemed well until early the next morning. I woke up in such uncomfortable agony, and went into the bathroom to discover that I have some sort of horrible rash. It looks a little like a really bad diaper rash, and is raised and puffy and quite red. It mostly burns although it is also somewhat burny-itchy also at times. So far I have been using a diaper rash cream that has aloe in it, but after two days, am still in pain. Is this from too much friction too soon after getting a wax? Has this happened to anyone before? I would be really happy to get any suggestions or comments from people as none of my friends seem to have had this happen to them...

Recently, I posted about light pink blood after using a condom after sex. It happened just one time, and I asked my doctor about it on my annual last friday. He told me it was probably nothing, and my pap came back normal.

Well...I had sex yesterday, and afterwards, I went to the bathroom like 2 hours later (after a shower and sitting around) and there was a streak of bright red blood on the toilet paper. As if i cut myself.

I got tested for stds last year and my husband has been tested as well. I'm pretty confident he's been faithful.

So here's my question.....how common is it to rub yourself raw (or get a cut) during rough sex? My husband and I do alot of foreplay. He rubs me to DEATH, so i was pretty sore.

I didn't see a cut or anything, but i'm pretty sure it was coming from the vulva or at least close to the inside, because during sex, right on the inside there's always a spot that feels like it's getting rubbed too much until i add more lubrication (then it's fine).

Does anyone else bleed slightly or get cuts from rough sex often? I'd really hate to go back to the doc since i was just there a week ago, and he said i looked good.

Thanks everyone.

In response to the recent question(s) asking how exactly hormonal birth control works, I'd thought I'd post this as it's very useful and informative, above and beyond just saying that the pill prevents ovulation/provides a thinner uterine lining. It explains what happens during the female mensutral cycle both with and without hormonal birthcontrol.

two things, one statement and a question

1) STOP USING SOAP ON YOUR VULVA. i was never comfortable with this advice, and continued to do it for years after i heard i shouldn't. i always seems to have a mild itch, which led to much unneccessary money spent on over the counter meds, and the doc always said i have no infections when i actually went to get checked. finally, i started rinsing my vulva with water only (even when i used soap it was always mild-dove or olay). after a few weeks the itch went away and only returns if i use soap. save yourself, say no to soap

EDIT: This is meant only for those of you that have had an experience similar to mine (which is why i described exactly what it was) and have itchiness issues with no medical cause

2) i haven't been sexually active with a partner in 6 months, and every time i masturbate i use my vibe. i know that i've become accustomed to only that kind of stimulation because i never even try to masturbate any other way. i'm worried that i'll have a lot of trouble orgasming once i resume sexual activity with a partner, but i'm almost too lazy to try going at myself manually. it's so much harder!!!!! anyone else have this experience?

also, when i was sexually active, i always masturbated during intercourse. it was the only way i could get off during, so i did it everytime. i almost felt guilty about it, like i had given up on trying to orgasm through intercourse only. my partner was cool about, but it started to make me feel defective
