State Representative Tom Brinkman is seeking co-sponsors for a bill to completely ban abortion in Ohio. This bill would even make it a felony to transport a woman across state lines to obtain an abortion - no exceptions, not even to save the life of the woman, not even in the case of rape or incest.

Write to your state lawmakers today in opposition to this dangerous proposal!

Who else here, upon their first sexual encounter, thought in secret for ages after that they were a freak with a tiny vagina, doomed never to have sex again ever.

just me?

Good Morning!

To get to the point, I'm very itchy. My very itchy I mean I want to peel my skin off. I'm on a low hormon birth control, and through google I found "itch" alright but in the wrong places. My arms, my legs and my back just won't stop! I've mosterized, taken cold showers, it's like a special sort of hell. My best guess is that it's the hormones, otherwise I might have fleas :/

New =D

Hi , I'm Kris , I'm 15 and .. of course I have a question. Recently I started itching like inside and around my vaginal opening , curdy white discharge goodness , burning when I urinate although not quite like UTI burning , and of course soreness. But thats not what I'm here about , I'm 99% sure I've got my first ever case of the yeastie beasties and I'm asking my mom today to bring me to the doctor. What I wanted to know is if this an any way could tie into me recently losing my virginity? We used protection , and I know , although not as common as in girls , guys can get the yeasties too. But is there any way besides him having it that having sex would tie into getting my first yeast infection? Before sex I had never had any itchiness and after a few times the symptoms started , then went away and I thought maybe it was a reaction to the condom or something and I didn't worry about it but last night I was examining myself since I was itching again and I saw some curdy-ish , thickish discharge , I smelt it , no unusual odor nor was it an unusual color. I guess thats about it. Just sort of curious. I'm almost sure its a yeast infection , although if you guys think it sounds like something else your insights would be greatly appreciated =). Thanks.

Anyones help is greatly, greatly appreciated!!

I think I have a UTI/Bladder infection. I called the Dr. and they are calling "Macrobid" in for me providing a give a sample to quest so that they can look at it, etc.

I peed and just saw blood. Is this normal with a UTI/Bladder infection??! It hurts like a bitch when I pee and now I'm seeing blood? Do I need something different than an antibiotic? I'm going to run to the natropathic store and get 100% cranberry juice.

Help!!

A long time ago I went on depo provera and I missed like 2 weeks before my next shot, THEN when the nurse gave me the shot in my arm she hit a large vein or something and injected it accidentally into my bloodstream. I felt every vein in my body turn to fire, couldn't think and couldnt' move for several minutes. When I came too the nurse said she 'thought she'd lost me' and my lips were blue..I couldnt' walk for about 15 minutes after that without assistance.

After that things got weird and my hormones have never been right agian, though they are finnaly feeling a tad more normal now (this was in 1997). My body hair got much more dense, everything seems less 'girl'...I've never been me again.

Is there anyway to reverse the effects of this hormone trauma? I researched it and didnt' find much other than that large injections of hormones into the bloodstream while you're a teenager will make your body produce drastically less of that hormone basically for the rest of your life.

ANY info or advise would be appreciated since I've made so little progress on this myself!

I have recently become very interested in IUD's (especially the frame-less types availvable in Europe, hopefully those start moving toward the US, but I have little faith in the FDA sometimes).
I have been unable to find any information on the traditionsal T-shaped IUDs and safety of vaginal fisting while one is inserted.
Does anyone here have any info (anecdotal or resources) about that topic?
I don't know if it would increase the risk of expulsion due to either the strings hanging down or the suction that invariably builds up within the vagina during a session of vaginal fisting, but I would very much like to see if any of you have any info.
Thanks!

I posted this on iud_divas a few days ago and have only gotten one response so I figure why not try here as well.

I was thinking of posting this to [livejournal.com profile] tanningbabes but I thought it might be TMI for them, and since this is definitely vulva related I'm hoping someone out there can help.

I've been indoor tanning for a couple weeks. Just to preface, I know how damaging UV can be, but I'm going on vacation in a week and I have sensitive skin--the last time I went on vacation I lay in the sun for five days and burnt badly despite lathering with SPF 30 sunscreen every half hour, and I ended up with sun poisoning...so for health reasons I'm getting a base tan right now before I go away since the whole point of the vacation is to lay on the beach and relax. I've been tanning easily at the salon and haven't even gotten pink. However, I've noticed in the past week that I'm a little tender around my outer labia/clitoral hood, and my nipples--it's not bad and doesn't look burnt, but I don't want it to get that bad. I put sunscreen on my nipples, so that's not a problem, but is it ok to put sunscreen on one's outer labia? Do you guys recommend anything I could put there? Vaseline?

Oh, and FYI I'm tanning naked because I'm going to St. Maarten and anticipate going to nude beaches, so I'm trying to make sure that all of my skin gets some UV exposure--so while I know wearing a bathing suit would solve the problem right now, it won't help in the long run. Thanks for any ideas!

I feel like I post so much, but y'all are always helpful. So, here we go again.

I am on Ortho Evra, sexually active with my SO. After the last few times we've fooled around/had PIV sex, I have gone to the bathroom to find that my own lubrication has dried into a gel sort of material and is clumping on my vulva and in my pubic hair. It is not his semen, because these last few times he has not finished inside of me. I asked him about it, if he noticed anything different, and he commeneted that it has felt thicker a little bit, like a thick lube, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Nothing feels wrong, everything seems to be in good working order. Is this part of the hormones that is just now affecting me? Should I be concerned? I have my annual with my gyno this coming Tuesday so I can mention it to her, but I just wanted to see what you ladies think.

Thanks!

i'm pretty sure i have a mild yeast infection, but i'm not 100% sure. would using an over-the-counter treatment do any harm if i don't actually have a yeast infection?
and please don't say i should go to the doctor and stuff if i'm not sure. that's obvious. i just figured i'd inquire here and see what i could find out.

so i've been really frustrated lately because i've been breakthrough bleeding a lot because of the birthcontrol i'm on. it's only my first month on the pill and my system's not quite used to it yet i guess. but it's getting obnoxious.

my boyfriend and i had sex for the first time a week ago during one of my off days and it was lovely. but as soon as we'd finished, i started BTB again. and it hasn't stopped since. it's been 7 days and it wont freakin stop. and i want to have sex! NOW. and my period is due next week. so it's like 2 weeks of hands off time and the idea irritates me.

but i've been reading through the archives and i guess a lot of women still have sex while they're on their periods. which i guess i would be fine with, as long as the boyfriend is cool too. but i guess what i'm asking is how do i approach the subject of doing it? it seems kind of weird to sit down and say "by the way will you stick your penis in me while i'm all bloody and out of control?" because i'm not sure how he'd feel about it. so how do i go about talking with him? i was sort of hoping that he'd be like "i want you so bad that it doesn't matter!" but that hasn't happened as of yet and i'm frickin ready to hop him. he's not the longest of guys so i'm wondering if there's a way we could plug me up long enough to have a few nice minutes together...

any suggestions? thank you!!!

there's been a lot of posts on here from people looking for natural solutions to yeast infections/yeast build up, which is just annoying on a woman's package. Today I discovered Jarrow Formula's version, where each (tiny!) capsule contains 3.4 billion of this healthy bacteria. As some of you know, you have to take a LOT of acidopholis to cure a yeast infection--and 3 tablets a day of a version this strong will do it. You can order their stuff online.

Just wanted to let you all know!

Pregnancy

my friend thinks she is pregnant. im not writting this to get criticism for how irr-responsible my friend is(had unprotected sex, he pulled out). one of the things that shes noticed the most is, heh, she has a lot of gas. i mean she said she'd have it every so often, but she felt like she had to fart ALLLLL through school. And also, she has a huge loss of appetite. Help...?

My boyfriend and I were talking about having sex while I have my period. These exact words were said by him "I don't want bloody pussy." I have never been so offended and pissed off about that subject matter. Anyways after I let him know how much that offended me, I was thinking how in the world do I get him to open up to the whole period thing.

So how have you all eased a guy into not being so utterly freaked out about your period??? Seriously the whole thing to him is a gross, joking about matter.UGH.

One other thing, is the hymen pronounced hyMEN or hyMAN? I have never really known how to say the word...

*Edit- I just read a similar post from someone before me, so feel free to ignore this, although I am not going to delete it because if anyone does have good advice I would appreciate it, but just know that I am now aware of the previous post, and I apologize for posting so close.

Help?

So I went to my chiropracter (no really, bear with me here) and she did some xrays.
She said my copper IUD looks skewed off to once side.
I've had a bit of spotting after my last period (which was a bit longer than normal as well).

Should I be afraid?
I had sex today, and believe you me, the last thing I need is a kiddo.

I plan on getting to Planned Parenthood or some such to check my device asap....
I guess I'm just looking for reassurance/thoughts?

Thanks.

Well, I've been surfing around the memories and such, and haven't really found anything that's answered my question. So if I missed anything, please give me the link for it. Thanks. :)

Ok - I'm a tad embarrassed and worried. Last night I was taking a shower and was feeling along my vulva to see if it was time for me to shave again. I shave, not always regularly, usually once I get sick and tired of hair being down there. Or, of course, before I'm going to hang out with my bf. But anyway, I noticed that there were a couple small bumps. This is the area a little bit between the entrance to my vagina and my butt. They hadn't been there before.

Now, my vulva hasn't always been smooth. I've always had little bumps, little, for as long as I can remember. Is this normal? And the bumps that I felt last night were a little bit bigger.

Could this be HPV? :\ Or something as simple as a 'pimple' or ingrown hair or something? Is your vulva supposed to be completely smooth?

I researched a bit online last night about HPV. I looked at a bunch of pictures, but most of the pictures didn't seem to be what I had. Most of the pictures had big clumps of warts all together, or they were shaped differently or something.

Just as a little background info, as it may prove helpful... I've had oral sex performed on me almost a year ago, I was last fingered in January. I had only been fingered once before the time in January... my bf moved away a couple years ago, and when he visits every 4 months or so, we fool around sometimes, though, most of the times he visits, I have my period. So I'm not very sexually active, but have been before. (he's finally moving back the beginning of June this year. =D)

Sorry if I rambled, and thanks so much for your help and advice. :)

Can I ask what might be a really stupid question?

Is someone who is pretty overweight less likely to orgasm from sex than someone who is more in shape?

Thanks.

I'm 15. Not pregnant. Irregular periods. I've been PMSing (or at least feeling like I am) for around three weeks. It's getting progressively worse, and now, despite Zoloft, I'm getting angry over everything (I've been on Zoloft for about two years, and it had kept my period-related-anger under control, but over the past few days it's not working). Anybody have any clue what's wrong with me, or is this just some dumb teen hormonal thing that my health teachers have neglected to tell me about? :|

For reference on my anger, earlier today I logged on the internet, only Earthlink was being stupid and got hung up, so I had to restart the computer to fix it. It took me an hour to get calm enough to try and log on again.

Is clitoral stimulation (while masturbating) OK during the time when you have a yeast infection? Or would it cause the area to be... well... more infected? lol
