No Period At All

It seems I'm unique around here in that there's nothing coming out of me...no funky discharge, no heavy period, nothing.

I had my last yearly in early October. There was a med student in orientating and (I gave permission) the gyno was explaining everything. My cervical opening is "abnormally small." At this time I hadn't had a period since about April, so before giving me progesterone, they wanted to make sure my hormones were normal. I'm 30 and wondered about early menopause. I was told that I *may* have it if hormones came out abnormal.

Anyway, they were normal so I was given the pills. I had my period at the end of October and NOTHING since. I'm getting worried. About 2 1/2 years ago I underwent lupron depot injections to treat endometriosis...my period stopped for a year before I did anything. I hadn't realized it could mean something. So finally I started taking BCP and got my period a little later each month...eventually it was so late I'd be almost an entire month late...so I quit and it didn't come back until the progesterone pills.

What could be going on? I've done searches, but can't find anything. If my hormones are all normal, why am I not getting my period? And I'm definitely NOT pregnant.

hey again. Super random question! I don't even know why I'm thinking about this.

Anyway, I found Cyclespage, and saw that it maps days of fertility. I was wondering, if a person has sex on days when they're /not/ firtile, do they still run the chance of getting pregnant? The chart is meant as a way to help plan parenthood or something, but i was wondering if it could also be used as a manner of timed birth control as well (ignoring all the other types of BC)?

Anyway, thanks- maybe my mind'll eventually return to its normal thought processes after a decent nights sleep!

Anne Sexton (1928-1974) wrote this poem about her uterus after finding out that she wouldn't have to have it removed. She suffered from cysts and abnormally heavy periods, but was still able to connect with her body in a loving way. I thought it might be of interest to some of you vagina-loving people.

blood sugar and sex...

Last night, during sex, I realised my blood sugar was dropping and in the end we had to stop in order to fix this. It was quite dangerously low when I tested it.

Tonight, again, we had sex and I tested my blood sugar straight afterwards out of curiousity, and found it was on the verge of being again very low.

Have any other diabetic/hypoglycaemic ladies here at VagPag found this happens, or have I just had a weird coincidence?

Is there any link between having one's period and having a very upset tummy? My innards have been going through the proverbbial paper shredder this week, and while it's most likely food poisoning (urghghg college food) or a virus, when I went to health services they asked me when the last time my period was. It'll be here in a week, and I've set myself on a once-every-six-weeks-cycle using bcp. I've definitely been known to get gassy around my period, but I didn't know if there's also an association with indigestion.

divacup, mooncup or keeper available at a store in uk?

I've decided I want to try a menstrual cup because I am getting annoyed with pads and won't go near tampons. I live in the Uk and know the mooncup is available online but I'd prefer to buy either a mooncup, divacup or keeper at a regular store in the Norwich area. Does anyone know of any stores in the UK that carry menstrual cups of any kind? Thanks in advance.

hello, ladies

i have my first diagnosed yeast infection, and got the diflucan pill. could anyone tell me how long this thing takes to work? i'm sure many of you know the....discomfort.

Ortho Evra, patch fell off.

I'm on Ortho Evra, second week in the cycle. I had sex earlier today, and after we had sex I noticed that my patch fell off. I know it has not been off for less than ten hours, because it was still on when I had my shower this morning. My change date is tomorrow. The pharmaceudical info says that I can replace the patch within 24 hours and still be okay, but I thought I would check with the all-knowing vagpag crew ;P. Am I at risk for pregnancy? Should I put my new patch on now, or wait until tomorrow? If I put on a new patch now, should I change my patch date? If you could take the time to help, I'd appriciate it ^_^.

A cut inside?

So this has happened twice and it's very scary and very painful.

I had sex in a Wednesday night and then Thursday afternoon I started feeling pain inside my vagina about an inch or two up. Then the pain got worse and worse. Eventually it got so bad that I couldn't sit, stand, or lay down without feeling so nauseous that I thought I was going to throw up. I never did... but it was the type of pain that is so intense it makes you feel like that. Then I started to notice blood in my urine. It eventually got to where I could do nothing but go to the bathroom or I felt that I would have an accident. It was very embarrassing and inconvenient. The more I went to the restroom, the more pain and the more blood, but I just couldn't stop.

The pain eventually got better slowly and after two days it was gone completely. no other effects left.

I've had a history of UTIs and so I'm sure that it wasn't one of those. I even went to my gynocologist, but all my tests were normal and she noticed nothing different.

Has anyone else had this happen? Was I the victim of a vicious hangnail on my bf's finger? How can I avoid it if not? Help please!
