Hello ladies,

This is my first post, but I have been reading through the community for some time. I would first like to say that I really enjoy this site. I have read so many things that have made me stop and say "wow, I didn't know that was NORMAL. What a relief!" It's nice to have a place to talk about stuff like this, since it's kinda awkward to bust out with "sooo, what does YOUR discharge smell like?" or somethin' to your best friend. ANYHOW, I don't have a question, but some relevant advice. I'm putting it under a cut just in case.

ever since i went in a friend's hot tub last friday, my coochie has been sooo sore :( it's insanely irritated, and really itchy... i don't think it's from a yeast infection, since i've had those before and i know what they feel like. it just feels like it's been irritated from the chemicals. is there anything i can do to soothe it, or is it best to just leave it alone?

bleeding again after my period is over

Hi.. I looked in the archives and articles but I couldn't find anything on this. :0 I started my period on march 3rd but it wasn't due until the 6th. It was the normal cramps and bleeding as usual. It finished about 5 days later on the 9th. Now last night the 15th I started bleeding again and I'm having cramps again and a little lower back pain. Its not alot just when I wipe and kinda goopey and a little different looking. This may be normal for some people but its never happened to me before. I'm 32 and I had my pap test last month... came back normal. Any ideas? :)

called back for a 2nd Pap exam

Last week I had my routine Pap exam, and a couple of days later, I was called back for another one. The last time I was called back for another one, my Doctor found a lump in my Cervix.

What could they be looking for this time? And what could they find?

Deodorant

Ok, this isn't actually Vulva related, so if it's too off-topic please delete and I appologize. However, I thought you guys might be able to give me advice. I've been on a quest for the perfect deodorant and I didn't realize it'd be this hard. I sweat a lot (I work on my feet and have to be everywhere at once so I guess my job is athletic). I don't like using deodorant with aluminum in it, so although I loved Dove's baby powder deodorant I've since switched (plus I'd really like something that doesn't have anti-perspirant because I hate those white underarm stains). I currently use Tom's of Maine, but I haven't found a scent I like. I'm using Honeysuckle Rose and it makes me smell musty...bleck. Anyone know a baby powder-y scented deodorant that does the job but doesn't use harsh chemicals? Thanks for any help!

Few Questions Regarding Painses

I posted yesterday about really severe pain I randomly had during calc yesterday, but didn't recieve really any answer that was terribly helpful (only suggestion was that it was gastro-intestinal, which is possible, but unlikely given how low the pain was), so I wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas, and ask a couple other things. ( Probably ought to cut it for space )

Bump

Background Info: I plunk my hairs down there. I used to shave but i figured i would use some tweezers and i seemed to like that for a while.

Well, the problem:
Today i was going to shave and i noticed this BIG bump. Its not an ingrown hair, i know what those look like, and its not razor burn. Its a big bump, and when i feel it, it doesnt feel like the bump is just on top of the skin; it feels almost like its internal also. And i have no clue what this big bump is. Its about the size of a dime(a little smaller). Anyone know what this might be? If you need any more details that u think might help that i didnt mention please tell me so.

Vaginal discharge

Hi gals, every few months or so, my vaginal discharge will start to turn very yellowish and give off a bad smell. Sometimes there'll be streaks of blood in the discharge as well. The amount of blood is a little too much to be passed off as spotting and I think it has nothing to do with my menstrual period. There's also a little soreness at my vagina area. It's worrying me a bit as I think this is happening too many times. Does anyone know what's happening to me. Do I need to see a doctor? Thanks so much!

Ok, so I am wondering something. I have been on Ortho Novum continously for 7 years now. Recently I got divorced, and after my supply of O.N. from my military Rx ran out I started on the stuff Kaiser has, which is Norinyl. I am aware that it is basically a generic version of O.N.

However, I have noticed THEE most dramatic mood swings, emotional oversensitivity, emotional roller coaster since starting the Norinyl. I am a fairly easy going person, and for the past month my friends have had to walk on eggshells aorudn me, I am bursting into tears for no reason AT ALL and then succumbing to such irritation and rage I want to punch someone. Things I would normally shrug off are really hurting my feelings, and I am overly stressed with work.

My question is...can this be a result of switching manufacturers of my BC pill, and if so how long before it settles down??

(history: stephanie, 18, on bc pills because my periods monsterous [and this month theyve uped my horomones a second time as i continued to have breakthrough bleeding problems], i recently had a abnormal papsmear scare, but it turned out to be a fluke and im fine, im NOT sexually active.)

i realized about 1/2 way through the day that i was very sore in my girly parts and by the time i got home we were to full on painful. upon checking the situation out, something is wrong. on the inside of my labia in close proximity to my vagina i have dark purple splotches. theyre raised and sort of bumpy. they hurt very badly. my first instinct was bruising, but it really just doesnt look like that and, like i said, im not having sex, so i just dont see why such a thing would happen.

im trying not to panic, but my mother is away so im feeling sort of in the cold here. plus it being 5:00 i cant make a drs appointment til tomorrow...

as always, i hugely appreciate your help.

A kind of interesting thing happened to me today. . .( Tampon story! )

A note about Tampax Compak: A lot of times on this community I see the Compak (a tiny tampon) held up as an example of making women feel shame about their period. I'd just like to offer a different viewpoint. I use Compax because the applicator is slim and easy to use, because it's exactly the right absorbency for me, because the boxes take up less room under my sink and because - hey! - it's nice to have a small tampon, especially in a clutch or otherwise small purse. It just tucks nicely into one of the inner pockets and voila, I don't grope it all the time thinking it's a pen, it doesn't come out of its applicator, and I can zip my purse. It's all a matter of preference.

Normally during my period, the flow isn't that heavy. But this month it's super heavy and it's making me nervous. The only difference might be that right before it, I got a yeast infection and didn't treat it yet (because I got my period).

Otherwise, I'm on Ortho-Tri Lo and concerned.

Hello, I'm Lex and my cousin told me this was a good community to ask questions like this to, so bear with me (these sound stupid!)

First of all, sperm supposedly "swims" through the cervix, then uterus, then fallopian tubes, right? What exactly is it swimming THROUGH? I mean, what is filling the uterus and fallopian tubes? A liquid? If so, why doesn't that liquid leak out? I'm so confused.

Second of all, what the heck does GRAY discharge possibly mean? I get it once in awhile and it freaks me out.

Heavy bleeding

I'm on my 2 pack of Seasonale and I decided to have my period this week, 2 weeks early then I was supposed to. Well, it kicked it full force yesterday while on Sunday and Monday it was lighter. When I wasn't on birth control, I usually got very heavy periods with earth-shattering cramps.

Well, the cramping isn't so bad but two days out of my period; they're super heavy. By super heavy, I mean soaking a super tampon and soaking through an overnight pad in one hour. After the one hour, it dies down and doesn't soak another super-tampon until 4 hours later.

I know this isn't healthy, and this is why I went on birth control along with other reasons. How much longer will it be this heavy, or am I doomed to be ruining more underwear/pants? :(

NuvaRing and latex?

I was wondering if the nuvaring has latex in it? i cant seam to finde the info on it on the website and i just got a free sample from the dr and i have a slight latex alergy. my dr couldent finde the info for me, and the pharmacy dident have the phone number for the nuvaring company becouse they are so new right now.

4cm ovarian cyst

i have a 4cm ovarian cyst right now.
the dr's at the hosptial dont want to operate even though i have had major cronic cysts (had one the size of a HUDGE lemon removed in aug) and i also have a big cyst in my brain.
Im on oxycort *sp?* one step down from morphine and im still in a lot of pain and am on the max dosage and im wondering if i should get a thrid opinion if i should get it taken out?

Hey all... just wondering if anyone can reccomend an oral BC that doesnt have the side-effect, or has only a small affect, of/on lowering libido. I've been having some issues with this lately. I was on yasmin, then Depo, which I know is horrible. Any reccomendations would be much appreciated =)

Period + Yoga

I was in a yoga class tonight, when the instructor mentioned that the "downward dog" position shouldn't be done if you're menstrating. Well, I am, and thought it was nice of her to mention after an hour long class worth of the position. Does anyone know why that is said? My cramps kicked up after class, but I have notorious cramps and wouldn't thought anything of it had she not mentioned this...
