I am just finishing up treating myself for a YI with a seven-day over-the-counter cream. Usually for the 8th and 9th days I have a bit of external itching still. This time, I used up all of the internal cream on my last dose and bought the kind without the external cream because it was cheaper. So now I itch a bit, even though last night was my last dose. I have some 100% tea tree oil that I sometimes use for skin irritations. My skin handles the 100% with no protests. Do you all think that I can use the 100% on my vulva? I have heard that it should be diluted, but my normal skin takes the 100% just fine. However, I am concerned because, of course, the vulva is much more sensitive. Thoughts?

Here's my deal: I just realized that my period will be here on a very inconvenient day this month. The first day of my last period was on January 22 and ended on January 26. I am not on birth control right now, but if it would help, I can get it. My question is, can I make my period come earlier or later with birth control pills if I'm not already on them? For instance, could I start taking them now and my period wouldn't start till the active pills run out? Is there any way at all to prevent it from coming? Thanks a lot in advance. You guys rock.

so its commonly known that women with anorexia are very prone to osteoporosis - i always just assumed that this was because they were calcium defficient due to not eating enough dairy products. but recently i read that it is more than that, it has something to do with amenorrhea. absence of periods causing calcium to be leeched from the bones, or something. the place i read this was nowhere particularly credible, but i wanted to find out more. why would not menstruating cause osteoporosis?

if someone was anorexic and not getting their period but they took a lot of calcium supplements, do you think that would make any difference or be kind of futile?

also, would men with anorexia be vulnerable to osteoporosis as well? i guess not to such a degree, if its to do with the menstrual cycle.

Studies show that 2 out of 3 women have difficulties reaching orgasm during intercourse. Are you one of them? Don't feel alone.

Hi all,
I just found this community and can I say I think that it is awesome! There aren't enough people in the world willing to talk about vaginas! I'm in my university's production of The Vagina Monologues this week- I'm doing The Little Coochi Snorcher That Could. Can't wait.
Looking forward to getting to know this community better.

I have a couple of questions that I was hoping someone could answer for me.

YI Questions )

I have a question. This morning I woke up and my outer labia felt very swollen and irritated. Yesterday morning, I felt a bit itchy down there so I put on Monistat [sp?] itch cream. I've had minor yeast infections before and treated them with OTC medications, but I've never had swelling. Is this one of the symptoms for yeast infections, or is it caused by something else?

hey.. I just joined and I have a question. Last night was the first time in a month and a half that my boyfriend and I had sex. I started my period on Monday, and it only last about 5 days. I still had a little of it yesterday, we had sex twice, once where he didn't finish and the second he finished out of me. I know guys be cum. I heard that when you have sex on your period it last an extra day. today is it done. I feel sick to my stomach and I'm worried I might be pregant even though. Nothing broke. I don't know if this is the right place to go , but I need help. If anyone knows anything or can help me with a few wise words, to help me calm down, and stop freaking out it will help.thank you

Okay so this is probably the CRAZIEST question like EVER and I'm shore I'm the only nut out here with this problem, but: Have NE of you out here ever experienced these little air bubbles or something trapped in your vagina. They usually come out on their own with a shift here or there, but today I've got a real irritating bubble that just WILL NOT GO AWAY!!! I've tried everything but poking myself with a coat hanger lol.

Sorry just a rant :P

*cheers*

I've got a question for anyone who has switched from regular Ortho-Tricyclen to the lower hormone kind. I've been getting a shorter, less copious period about a week before my "real" period for a few months now. I would describe this pre-period as sludgier and darker than my regular, which has redder, fresher looking blood. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and what they have done about it. I'm not sure if switching pills could help this, but I am just investigating solutions.

When I've got a fever (as I do right now), I can tell two ways besides via a thermometer:
--my eyes burn
--and when it's way bad, my vagina and vulva are also extremely warm, such that peeing feels...different, due to temperature.

Am I normal? Or is this just my flu talking?

Hi everyone. I've been a member of vaginapagina for a while but this is my first time posting.

My boyfriend came to visit me this weekend (he lives a state away) and stayed at a mutual friend's house. I was on my period so we couldn't have sex but at one point we messed around in his car. Here's my question. Without getting too graphic, I ended up getting rubbed a little raw on my panties and I've been bleeding a bit. How should I treat it? Is polysporin alright to use as long as it's external?

Thanks ♥

I'm coming here for a question for my mother.
She is 46, and is going through menopause. Last week, she went to the gynecologist for the first time since about ten years ago for her menopausal symptoms. Our doctor put her on Prozac for her moodswings and stuff. However, she's only been on this for a little over a week and tomorrow she has a mammogram. For the first time she can remember, she feels that she can barely move due to the pain she's having in her boobs, and she hasn't been consuming a lot of caffeine because she is on Atkins and has been on it since June. I thought that was really the only thing that makes that happen. Her period is also not due to come soon, although, she has not had regular periods for the last few months. She just stopped two weeks ago. I don't know if it could be a pre-menstural thing or what. Thanks for your help.

So according to my month cycles I'm having my period the 17:the. But today I got blood when I wiped. I thought my period was super early and just put my divacup in. I dident feel anything period-y though like I usually do the first two days of my period so I took it out after a couple of hours to check. There where just itsy bitsy brownish blood in the bottom of the cup. It was now that I started "worrying." I'm not on any birthcontrol but I have been under alot of stress the lates month. I checked a couple of pages about spotting and it said that you could get it when you are stressed. I just wanted to check you you ladies if I really need to go see a doctor or something. I really hope not. Last time I checked the cup the blood was more red but it was still very little.

I'm sorry if my writing is odd, I'm tired. I know you shouldent write when you feel like you might not make sense but I wanted to get some pointer or whatnot about this.
@-->-->--

ETA: I almost filled a divacup during the night. Weird or just early period?

Hi folks,

I was just thinking about fourth grade for a second, and I remembered the day they gathered up all the fourth grade girls and made us go into one classroom to watch a movie and learn about puberty. Since the movie was so unique and amusing, I was wondering if anyone else saw it.

So here's the premise: )

There was also a time when we got to write anonymous questions and submit them for the nurse to answer. For example: "If you want twins, do you have to do it for longer?" When we came back to class, all the boys thought our little packets contained See's candy instead of giant sample pads.

This sounds strange, but when fingered I often feel like I need to pee, or like the guy is pressing right on my sensitive bladder. Is there a way to remedy this?
