Just curious about input here. In a little bit, I'll probly go to the campus health center and get them to test me for a UTI; not going now cause I'm on my period and iirc, that screws up the specimen testing. BUT... I wouldn't be surprised if this is not a UTI... I just can't think of what else it could be!

See, I'm feeling like I have to go to the bathroom lots more often--but not all the time. Not really during the day, if I'm busy, etc. Then, it just doesn't come to mind. But at night (note the time of this posting :), especially if I'm trying to sleep, then every 10 or 15 minutes even it feels like my bladder is sending signals. Sometimes there's something there (I drink a fair amount more water than most people), sometimes there isn't--it's because of that, and the fact that there have been a few times when the urge has remained, strongly, when there is *nothing* there, that I am thinking of going to get tested for a UTI. However, like I said, this isn't a constant thing; also, I'm not getting any other symptoms at all, really. So I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't a UTI. Do any of you ladies have thoughts about what else this might be? Similar experiences?

Oh my goddess! I bought tickets yesterday to see Eve Ensler's Vagina Monologues!!! Only 17 days and I'll be sitting there, with my best friends, peeing my pants because I'm witnessing the Vagina Monologues!!! I can't believe it...

Hi everyone - I thought I'd share this little bit of info with you guys. About a year and a half ago I developed a self-diagnosed yeast infection while on anti-biotics. I read up about it, and heard that using a douche made of tea tree oil and warm water may help clear it up. I mixed about 5 drops of pure tea tree oil with maybe 500 ml of warm water in a squirt bottle and sprayed it over the area three times a day. Within 2 days it was totally gone.
Have any of you tried this? I probably should have checked with a nurse or doctor, but it worked great. Another website I found suggested 1.5 tablespoons of oil per cup of water but this sounds like a pretty high concentration to me. If you want to try it I would suggest starting out with a lower concentration and moving up. It wouldn't be good to put the pure undiluted oil on your body - so I'd be weary of it being too strong and irritating the area worse.
Hope this helps anyone out there!

My body refuses to cycle with the pill. I'm worried I'm still ovulating. I know that's probably not possible, but my body goes through all the signs, cervical fluids, ovarian pain, etc. I've been checked out, I'm healthy. My doc says my body will regulate to the pill. It's been 6 months, and I'm curious. I'm thinking of using the FAM method to see what I come up with, charting temps, fluids, etc., because I think that might tell me if I'm ovulating, and if so, when. Am I completely crazy here? But if my body refuses to cycle with the pill, and it turns out it's not always working, I'm not going to screw up my body taking it anymore.

Birth controll pills are ineffective on me, because of some other medications I'm on, that mess with my liver and metabolize everything really quickly...so when I heard about the NuvaRing, I was TOTALLY psyched! Anyway, I went to the doctor yesterday to try to get a prescription for one, and my doctor said that although it's been FDA approved, it's not out on the market yet, and he has no idea when it's coming out. I was so sad! I know a few of you ladies already have them...how did you get them!? Any idea on when they're coming out?
