Risk of air embolism?
Jan. 21st, 2016 07:21 pmHey VPers!
Long story short, I developed a mild case of BV and decided to treat it with H2O2 douches and yogurt. I've used this method before and it worked well. However, I was talking to my friend about it and she told me that douching can cause an air embolism, which can be deadly. This worried me because I use a bulb style douche, and even when I fill it completely full, there's always a little air left inside the bulb.
Is there any way to lessen the risk of getting an air embolism from douching? Or is the risk too low to fret about?
Thanks in advance for the advice!
