Hi all. Just another am I normal? question.
I started having periods the month before I turned 12. I'm now 30 and I've never missed a month. I've always got them every 27-30 days or so.
Up until I was 26, I'd have them for 7 or 8 days and the first 3 or 4 days would be really heavy, with cramps and the usual fun stuff. Then the final 3 days would be lighter.
After 26, they didn't last as long. Heavy for the first 2 days, light for the following 2 or 3 days. So probably 4 or 5 days in total.
I've noticed this month though that it's only been heavy for one day, and now it's light. I still get them every month and last month it was still heavy for the first 2 days. Is it normal for periods to change that much? I'm only 30, so I'm not really sure. I know they'd change when you're pre-menopausal but ...
I'm really just looking for reassurance, but I am willing to speak to a doctor if necessary! Thank you all in advance.
