Brown discharge

I'm a bit worried, as I went to the bathroom a few hours ago, and had a bit of brown discharge. At first I thought it might be my period starting, but it's not due until the weekend. I've been to the bathroom a few times since and there hasn't been any discharge. I had sex with my partner about 4 times in the last 2 weeks, most recently just under a week ago. We used a condom every time and it seemed fine. The sex was quite rough, but I'd have thought that if my cervix was going to bleed, it would have done so before now. Any idea what this could be?
