End result of yeast infection?

What sort of discharge should appear after a yeast infection? I've taken my tablet, about a week ago and the itchyness is gone but I still have the same odour but different discharge? It's still kind of lumpy, but resembles more normal looking discharge. Is that my body's way of cleaning it out? Or is the medicine not worked completely? I also had white and stretchy discharge for a day or two but I found out that's because I was fertile.
