Pill-less in Seattle?

Hey you guys, I'm considering going on the pill but I really don't want to. What are the side effects here? My periods are already irregular-- every 2 mths or so-- but I don't mind because, well, it's just less for me to have to deal with. Plus I wouldn't be able to tell my mom about it, I don't want to gain weight, and I don't have cramps or anything now. What to do? Any advice or personal experience? How about ask your boyfriend to wear a condom for the time being until you are more sure of what you want to do? After all, the pill doesn't protect against any STD's. In your journal it seemed like he was unwilling to use condoms?! That just doesn't seem right to me.

Yes, I agree - make him wear a condom! I'm 23 and I have always made the guys wear condoms - even if it's in a relationship. It's only now that I'm trying the pill - because I've been with my boyfriend for a long time, we've both been tested for all std's and are clean, and I'm anticipating this relationship lasting a long, long time.

Guys who won't wear condoms just make me furious. You have to keep yourself safe, and his desire for extra pleasure or whatever should never be more important than that.
