Quick Question

I am on yaz. Yesterday was my last non-hormonal day (yaz has four), today should be the start of my new pill pack. Usually I take the pill at 9:30, but I have yet to pick it up from my pharmacy because of spring break/them running out of yaz previously issues. So basically: If I take the first non-hormonal pill a few hours later than usual, am I still protected because I took it the right day?

I believe I am, because I remember people saying technically you can be off for seven days and still be protected (although it would throw things off for me), but I just want to be 100% safe and sure.

Yes, since Yaz only has 4 non-hormonal days then it gives you some leeway. Even if it were your seventh day off, I think taking it late would still be better than missing it entirely.

Yup, as said -- you have a lot of leeway with a 4-day-placebo brand, and even a few hours late on a week-long-no-hormone brand, you'd still be extremely protected.

The 21/7 rule with HBC-you need at least 21 days worth of active pills, followed by NO MORE than 7 days placebos. So 24 days of active pills + 5 days placebos=no harm done :)
