Back when I was a teenager, before I was on HBC, I could feel when I was ovulating.  Just enough of a twinge that I eventually figured out what it was.  When I was 19, I went on HBC and was on it for 11 years.  I have been off HBC since last September, but I do not feel ovulation anymore.  Is it likely that, after being on HBC so long that I just don't feel it now, or could something be fishy?

For the record, my periods are pretty normal and regular, though my cramps are worse (but not ungodly) than they were when I was a teenager.

Not that I'm being worrisome about anything, just curious.

I had a similar experience-- when I was on HBC, I couldn't feel my ovulation, but when I was off of it I felt it often. Now I have a Mirena and I don't feel it again. On the other hand, it varies from month to month, too.

My experience basically is that some months I feel it, and some months I don't. I also seem to remember that I noticed it more on my right side than my left, so it was kind of an every-other-month thing, too.

Not sure if that answers your question, but thought I'd share my experience.
