After looking through some archives I was wondering if it's common to have a YI that doesn't cause any discomfort, only had a discharge.  I've had two before and they've always been very uncomfortable and itchy but now I only have a discharge that is common with the infection but no discomfort whatsoever.

I'm not sure how common, but certainly possible, because there was a time or two I went to the gyno and they said I seemed to have a very mild one from the culture, but no discomfort or even really visible unusual discharge or smell or anything.

Yeah, it's possible. There definitely doesn't need to be all of the usual symptoms (discharge, itching, redness) for it to be a YI - some people only have the discomfort or only have the discharge. It's also possible you just have a very mild one that isn't causing you discomfort because it is low-grade. For me, sometimes the only way I can tell I have one is if I have PIV sex because it is painful. If I were you, I'd probably use home remedies to treat or if possible seek out a diagnosis from a doctor to nip it in the bud just in case it does turn into the itchy red kind.

Absolutely. I often can't tell if I have one. Then I get a day of itching and/or swelling, and then it goes away for a couple weeks...comes back for a day....goes away...symptoms can vary a lot from person to person, from none at all to very severe. If you're unsure, I'd either start with some home remedies to see if that helps, or I'd have a doctor check that it is yeast before treating it with an antifungal.
