Hey everyone,

First of all, I don't know if this has been asked before, so if it has, I'm sorry. But, I can use any help I can get!

A few years ago, I was on the birth control pill, specifically Othro Tri Cyclen. While it gave me beautiful skin, I gained a massive amount of weight and was an emotional wreck. It was such a terrifying experience that I decided to go off it altogether. Once I stopped it, the weight I gained literally fell off overnight. I was told by my doctor at the time that I should look into other options, since not all brands will give me the same side effects, but I just didn't want to go through that ordeal again.

Now, I'm in a long term relationship with my boyfriend and I would love to use something, like the birth control pill. However, I'm just so worried and scare that I'll go through the same thing again. I have a birth control consultation with my doctor this weekend, but before I go, I wanted to do research on other birth control pills that don't have such severe side effects, especially with weight again.

Can anyone recommend a birth control pill that they use that hasn't given them any severe side effects? Any suggestions you can provide would be super helpful. Thank you!
