500 mg once per hour until you bleed. Your body can only absorb 500 mg at a time, so taking 1000mg as recommended in the other post is just going to result in peeing the excess out. Also, you can't take too much Vitamin C in a 24 hour period. You'll just excrete it in your urine. The only side effect of high Vitamin C dosage is loose stools.

I've used it several times following this method and and it's always worked for me.
