Ok, so I have my moon cup, and my period is quickly approaching.
Which mean in less than I week I'll be having cups full of menstrual blood to mess around with.

I keep reading here about using menstrual fluid mixed with water for house plants.

And I was wondering, what ratio do you usually use? And how beneficial is it? Has anybody actually seen a marked improvement in their plants after using it?
And what kind of container should I use? I don't think my grandmother would approve of me getting blood stains on the inside of her fav. watering can.

Thanks!
:)

I usually take about a quart of water and soak a tampon in it.

And yes, I've noticed a change in my plants when I've done that.

Watering can *lol* I suppose you could reuse an old bottle with a lid :)

Now I'm wondering if anyone would put menstrual blood on a plant destined to be food. Hmmm.

it's not menstrual blood, but lots of commercial conventional farmers use slaughtered-pig and -cow blood as fertilizer.

I just started giving blood to my plant. What I do is keep a coffee cup in the cupboard under the bathroom sink. THen I just rinse the blood into that, fill it with water and give it to the plants. I'll give it just a pure water too if there's a whole lot of blood.

The plant seems a little perkier than before I started watering it. Poor thing, i don't take very good care of it the rest of the time I fear.

I usually soak my cloth menstrual pads in a medium sized tupperware container full of water overnight and then pour that water over my plants. It seems to work well.

It's certainly interesting, I wonder how my AloVera plant will react to it, I always take from it, last month I took from it for my vulva...herb lore does dictate that you leave something for the plant in return for taking something from it, espeshaly blood and menstrual blood is quite a gift to give in return.
