i know that you're supposed to give a hormonal contraceptive 1-3 months for the side effects to lessen, (that includes the bleeding and the mood swings) so it may be better in a month or two. if it's really disrupting your life though, and you just can't wait, you could try a pill with a different type progestin in it (http://contraception.about.com/od/thepill/tp/ProgestinTypes.htm)

some people just do better with different types of hormones, and your doc should definitely be able to give you a few suggestions if you have to go back in and ask for something different.

i feel you on the mood swings, i hope they get better for you!
