Four weeks sounds a bit early to me for another blood test; IIRC, isn't it recommended to wait six to eight weeks to ensure antibodies have had time to build up? It's pretty rare to have HSV-1 both orally and genitally, although it's not impossible. So, if four weeks was indeed long enough for an accurate blood test, I think the allergic reaction theory sounds plausible. But yeah, it definitely doesn't sound like HPV.
