Breakthrough bleeding is very normal when starting hormonal birth control. It will likely resolve after your hormone-free week, though it may occur at other times during the initial three-month adjustment pack. It will usually resolve after then, and if it doesn't, a different brand might work better.
I'm not entirely sure that skipping the hormone-free week would accomplish what you'd like it to. It might, but it may be more likely that it would lead to more irregular bleeding, and possibly for longer, or you may simply have a full-on period-like bleed. Sometimes, your body needs that hormone-free week to bleed out fully.
