If you're on HBC, do you still experience symptoms of PMS before your period? I was under the impression that since the hormones override your natural cycle, you wouldn't, but my body is telling me otherwise right now - I feel irritable, bloated, and a little crampy! This is my first month on HBC, and it's right around the time my period would be due in my natural cycle. I'm on Loestrin 24fe, which has 24 active pills, and I have 2 active pills left, if that makes a difference. I haven't felt any side effects during the rest of the month.

Thanks!!

Yes! My PMS before I started stacking my pills was AWFUL! I was the moodiest, bitchiest, mopey-ist person ever. My cramps were a pain in the ass and my body aches were awful, too.

When I was on HBC, my PMS got worse. I would fly off the handle at the drop of a pin. I had to stop because after a while, I was either pissed off or depressed 90% of the time. I also got horrible migraines (usually don't with PMS) on top of horrible cramps.

Yes, my PMS before I started stacking NuvaRing was horrible. It had gotten gradually worse throughout the years I was on the Ring too, along with my cramps :/. Now, I don't get a period for 9 weeks at a time but the second that Ring comes out of my vag all hell breaks loose and I start PMS-ing all over everything.

Yep, I still get it. It's appreciably milder on HBC than off, but it is absolutely, 110% still there.

Yup. Absolutely do, although it's much milder on hbc than when I was off. It's more like "normal" PMS than the raging mood swings I used to get (I have PMDD).
