1- It's not illegal, but it is inconvenient! There are other high-estrogen, low-androgen pills out there: http://contraception.about.com/od/thepill/l/bl_choosingapill.htm (under "Acne"). Talk to your doctor about it!
3- Tri Spirintec has 25micro grams of estrogen in each dose, whereas Diane-35 has 35. But that's not strongly linked to breast cancer risk anyway. Statistically, while you're on HBC and for 10 years after, you're more likely to have breast cancer diagnosed than if you weren't on HBC at all. But, that's probably not due as much to an increased risk of developing breast cancer as the correlation between being on HBC and getting other regular healthcare. Not to mention the connection completely vanishes 10 years after discontinuing HBC, so unless anyone in your family developed breast cancer before menopause, you're probably quite safe.
