This is a voice to let you know you are not alone, although I wish I had some tips to share! I hear ya. Unfortunately, I can't manage NOT to nick myself every time I trim. The common denominator is also me, but I at least know why, and that is because I have Tourette's Syndrome and I have frequent muscle tics, that almost always result in nicking and other very irritating problems while performing what might otherwise be not-so-difficult hygiene tasks. So, actually, thanks for sharing because it comforts me too and lets me know that just because I have this disorder, I am not the only one who manages to do this all the time. Thanks, and I feel your pain! :)
I shave too, but have found that using this: http://www.schick.com/products/default.asp?p=225 has helped me greatly reduce the number of nicks I get while doing so. It's next to impossible to do with that blade because you can't press too hard with it, and it will only move in certain ways. Sometimes I just skip the trimming altogether and go straight for this. Though that has its own issues too, and I understand that you cannot, so I guess we just can't win, huh? ;) Anyway, thanks for sharing, and good luck!
